Rubies - Full armor set. when worn, slight protection from fire. 9 rubies (think of a diamond but red) for a block.
- Full tool set. When used slight chance of quad drop (VERY slight :tongue.gif: ).
- When mining with a ruby pickaxe, there could be a slim chance it will drop from ruby to emerald.
- To mine, a sapphire pickaxe is needed.
Sapphires - Full armor set. when worn, slight protection from drowning. 9 sapphires (Think of a diamond but deep blue) for a block.
- Full tool set. When used slight chance of a triple drop.
- When tilling the earth with a sapphire hoe, there could be a slight chance it will hydrate the soil block, despite not having a water source near-by.
- When using a sapphire pickaxe, there could be a slight chance it will drop from sapphire to emerald (NOT ruby).
- To mine, an emerald pickaxe is needed.
Emeralds - Full armor set. when worn, slight protection from poison. 9 emeralds (Diamond only bright green) for a block.
- Full tool set. When used slight chance of a double drop.
- When using an emerald pickaxe, there could be a slight chance it will drop emerald (and ONLY emerald).
- To mine up, a diamond (Or obsidian / netherrack / endstone pickaxe if you implement your other mods) pickaxe is needed
*All the swords made with the material mentioned above has a chance to 1 hit mobs.
Amethyst - Full armor/tool set. Has a better chance for two enchantment at a low level. (Example: Power I with knockback I at level 5)
Well Mithril first appeared in Lord of the Rings and has been added to many games since then, I based it off LoTR and Runescape. And thanks :smile.gif:
Oh ok. I haven't heard it in many games myself. Thank you so much for the tutorials!
Lead (Mainly for armor), silver (like gold), aluminum, magnetite (slightly harder than iron. Iron is 5, this is 5.5-6.5) and quarts would be cool to see. Quarts wouldn't be made into ingot though.
Maybe add gems? Rubies/Sapphires/Emeralds?

Happy modding.

Didn't see this. Cool idea, but if they're going to be this powerful, they'd have to be more rare than diamond :S And other gems aren't harder then diamond irl, so they shouldn't be this powerful xD;;

Enderfrost has a point. In real life, the strongest gem is diamond. So, Rubies, Sapphires, and Emeralds wouldn't last very long. They are there to give you a chance of getting more drops than just one. That's why they would be rare. And something I forgot to mention, these gemstones would spawn at diamond level, and maybe spawn 2-6 veins in one chunk (16x16 square)
As for Amethyst, it doesn't necessarily have to be strong as diamond (it can be), but it should be at least more durable than iron. This ore would spawn in like the redstone layer or close-by.
And last thing, I saw your poll you have up and the most-voted on at the moment is mobs. I have some ideas for some new mobs as well. Just pm me and I'll tell you ALL about it.

Seems like I got some work to do.
You go through the adf.ly, and it just takes you to the mediafire home page.
