Actually, I've noticed that endermen can walk up one-block ledges as if they were stairs. It might be easier to work with Notch's code, rather than a modder's code.
But there is one problem which is easy to reproduce:
1. Create a new world with the Seed 292202 (and i recommend creative mode and single player commands)
2. Get yourself a Dragon Egg and a Saddle
3. Hatch the egg, saddle the dragon and land again on the island.
4. Punch the Dragon.
5. You now have a Dragon flying around that can't land anymore because there is water just everywhere.
-> It would be nice if in such situation the dragon would land on the nearest land mass (y Value >64) and if none is present it should probably transform back into an egg after flying too long without its master.
-> I noticed that the dragon can land in water if it is only 1 Block deep.
6. as we kill the dragon (manually or with the SPC Command "killnpc") the Dragon dies but does not drops the saddle.
-> If dragons were real I am pretty sure if I shoot one in the Face I still could retrieve the saddle.
if possible i would like to see it shooting fireballs or something. There are already plugins for the "Bukkit Server" that Admins can shoot fireballs with a command you can probably copy the code from there if it is open source.

Maybe make it to where the code only makes plasma on rendered textures when you're in noclip mode? Also, I think it would be cool if the plasma was a purple color instead of blue.

Yes, I've noticed that problematic case, too. Finding the nearest landmass could be very inefficient, as the surface needs to be scanned for non-water blocks. I think the "timeout" is probably the best idea. Or maybe transform back to an egg after touching the water surface 10 times.

I think the loss of the dragon should be a bit more punishing by destroying the saddle as well.

Yea, the plasma only happens WHEN in No-clip mode, NEver happend to me when i wasnt useing no clip, And like that guy said, Endermen go up 1 block without jumping .. you could use some of notches code to do that, But make it like 2high or somthing..

And the dragon going up blocks isn't that difficult, the movement of the legs is.
On ground maybe, yes. But in air, it's much more difficult than I thought. The whole movement code is a mess and screws up the rotation of the neck/tail if it isn't totally smooth. Recently, I even figured out that the Ender Dragon is actually moving backwards, compared to other entities. Of course, the model is rotated correctly, but it makes everything even more confusing.
But i have one question:
Can you add a Dragon Sound? With Dragon RAWR and all?
Maybe the sound from Skyrim?

Bethesda wouldn't be very happy about that. :wink.gif: Plus, it requires additional mods for custom sounds support, so that's something for a proper API. I could try Spout...

I would also suggest that when you summon your dragon out of the egg you would have to saddle it first, before being able to ride it at all, because I find it little annoying sometimes that i can control it only up and down without the saddle and sometimes i forget that saddle.
Nice mod i love it but one small problem when i right click the ender-dragon egg when it spawns all i see is a white model how do you install it all i see is white where the skin is Please make a tutorial on how to install i copied all the files into minecraft.jar (without seperating files from folders the only file that was out in the open was mod_DragonMount.class and when i use it all i get is a piece of **** looking dragon that is whit >.>
They work together just fine.
Anyways, great mod! Are there any plans for being able to change the color of your dragon or allowing it to stop in the middle of flight?

The textures in this mod are fully independent from the original Ender Dragon, so yes.
It's a bit complicated, but I'll try to do that.
