When we are choosing to decide whether or not we should add Smart Entities in, it depends on if there is enough background information on them to develop a clear and understandable backstory on them.
It also depends on what those creatures from any of the shows have to offer. We don't add things that are boring or insignificant. Nor do we add things in that cant be accurate to the show. For example....with the Silence, we chose to not to add them due to the fact that their most prominent and most interesting feature....the thing that makes them so creepy, their mind altering abilities. You cant do that in a game....and no matter the suggestions people have come up with have made it any better.... Having them invisible when you dont look at them is just a cheap way of dealing with the problem and it doesn't solve the fact that the silence are creepy due to their post hypnotic suggestion and their memory altering abilities. It just cant be done.
An example a creatures importants and value to the mod.....would be the vashta narada, yes they worked well in the show. They were creepy in the show. However, the Vashta Narada would never ever be on a planet in such deadly numbers. The only reason they were deadly was because of the library and they only occur on certain planets in very very low numbers. If we were to put them on various planets...and retain the show's continuity as we have done in everything else, then there would be no point. If we break from continuity and go with deadly numbers on every planet, then that creates a whole **** ton of new issues. Even the doctor in the episodes could not defeat them, the vashta narada and the doctor negotiated for a single day to evacuate the former population of the Library....it just wouldnt make sense to put a invisible and invincible enemy in every shadowon mostly every planet and have no reasonable way to kill them
As for adding things in days after an episode airs...it probably wont happen.
We do plan on expansion packs, however we wont be adding anything and everything that is in a new episode.

Doesnt change the fact that they are undefeatable...and shadows.... come on... please... you dont have to be a scientist to realize the horrific effects making shadows in minecraft vashta narada would be....we tried it. It was god awful.
Also ..."one planet with lots of vashta narada" would be pointless and stupid. It wouldnt offer anything constructive to the mod, and noone would go there for the simple fact that you would die the instant you opened the tardis doors.

This modification is currently in a heavy development stage. Please open the Spoiler and Read. This mod is currently still being developed that means that it has not been released for download. To understand this mod and its contents, you will need to read the entire post. Any questions asked about anything that has been discussed in this post may not be responded to. Reading through the entire post allows you to understand everything about this mod and the people working on it.
When we say that we want this mod to be made correctly we mean, we aren't going to be rushing out a Incomplete half-***ed version aka pre-release. Just because Mojang has begun to launch pre-release's via Minecraft does not mean it is a good Idea what so ever.
We want it to have the most quality a client mod can have in itself. We want it to be a pleasure to install this mod and play it. If we released a version of this mod and its not completed to our liking and you as the player use the incomplete version, then your client breaks, you would come back to our thread or website angry with us for breaking it.
As for testing, in the distant future a restricted 5 slot Alpha testing group will be selected . A small group of testers would eliminate any need to rush out a update to the Alpha if something happened. We can monitor the testing in a more controlled environment. The developers could remain in the same pace of development we prefer and not worry about having an angry mob rushing toward us screaming that things don't work. Or telling us to hurry up and release more features. This mod...is more than a mod. We are making a game within a game. It takes time, and we want to make sure we get things right.

SMART ENTITY SYSTEM

What is it? The Smart Entity System is an entire new approach to how Smart Entities (Advanced mobs) are handled within the game of Minecraft. It allows for a nearly limitless cap of possibilities for any creature within the game, and enables most of these possibilities with staggering ease of both application and use. They think for themselves, they reply to you in a realistic manner, you could almost say the Smart Entities almost have unique personalities.
What does it do? The simplest way for me to explain some of the features is with a list.
- Path-finding (to a block, following an entity, break blocks to get to destination, weighted blocks) - Inventory (full customization of size) - World interactions (break and place blocks) - Action queue (ability to handle standard and custom actions in a way never seen before) - Support for variance in size - Extensive English Vocal vocabulary database - Responds your actions in a realistic manner - Speaks to you in actual vocal English and not just in text - Many Many more features that I can't list at the moment
What are some features that will be seen in its future?
- Emotion based decisions (emotions will be affected by events that happen to the entity in question. emotions include but are not limited to: anger, love, greed, friendship, revenge) - Rational Decision Making - ( the ability for the Smart Entity to judge its situation and come to a decision much in the same manner a human being would) - Thousands of different response situations when interacting with the player - (currently only in the English language will be audible and vocal but language packs may/may not be made)
What are some examples of its usage in the game? Currently we are employing the Smart Entity System for most of the entities in the Doctor Who Client Mod as well as its sister mod, the Stargate Chevron 7 Client Mod by the Mod Division. This is in an effort to give the player an entire new realm to play in, a place where your decisions regarding living elements of the world have a more direct impact on your game-play.
What does the future of the system look like as a whole? This system will continue to be developed and custom tailored to the Doctor Who Client Mod as well as the Stargate: Chevron 7 Client Mod, both mods being developed by the Mod Division. This will hopefully bring the system as a whole to a very usable level for other developers, which will gain access (in the form of some kind of API) after a few months of the Doctor Who Client Mod's and Stargate Chevron 7 Client Mod's releases. This system is not one that we wish to hold back for too long, as it would provide the entire Minecraft modding community with a revolutionary tool that will change the way minecraft modding for mobs is done. Mods that could possibly benefit from the release of this code are: army mods creating intelligent levels of command, rpg mods creating quests and a dynamic world, fantasy mods that want to have intelligent or mischievous entities interact with the player. We think that it would be unfair to the community to not give these mods the ability to create something great (after we have basked in its glory some, of course).

Many of you have voiced concerns about the TARDIS flight. Well simply put, the T.A.R.D.I.S can fly in any kind of space. It does it all the time you just don't see it on screen. The T.A.R.D.I.S doesn't just go womp womp wurr wurr and magically appear somewhere. What it does is it creates a tunnel through Space-Time, what that does is it "folds" space in a way that connects point A to point B in a short distance, rather than a greater distance. Now when the tardis dematerializes it goes into the Time Vortex (which is just the name labeled in the show, its scientifically a Space Time Vortex) and it has to navigate the tunnels of the vortex to reach its destination. Now the TARDIS has a limited autopilot function which is why you rarely see the Doctor ever really navigating. In the Doctor Who Client Mod that option will be there too, but you will still need to view the tardis in flight either on the GUI or the monitor on the TARDIS Console that displays the GUI while you walk about the console room. The T.A.R.D.I.S Flight GUI features three spherical shapes that contain galifreyan symbols that interact and change with your movements, an button to access the World Selection GUI, A Velocity (speed) measurement panel, and a Co-ordinate display panel which also serves as a co-ordinate flight path input tool. At the bottom measures the amount of energy the TARDIS has left to fly in that manner before needing to rejuvenate its energy stores for flight. There will be a separate GUI for monitoring the amount of energy you have until you have to go to a rift and refuel the tardis. There are going to be AT LEAST 2 different modes in this specific GUI.

As everything in this GUI has not been completed I cannot give you a 100% accurate detail write-up on all the features but what I can tell you is this GUI is 100% player interactive. The World Selection Interface displays a real time display of the universe and the solar systems that are accessible as well as the planets that are accessible to you as the doctor. there are 3 modes to this GUI, The Universe, The Solar Systems, and the Planets. Each of these are represented by a 3D icon that directly interacts with the world / solar system you are looking at. At first you will have a limited amount of planets you are allowed to travel to. This is a result of the disease that effected the TARDIS Huon Particle ContainmentMatrix. The TARDIS crashes in the spawn scene and one of the results of that, some TARDIS components were scattered throughout time and space, in this case the components that were scattered happen to be the TARDIS Memory Database Crystals. The consequences of this action turn out to be that several of the planets being added into the mod have become un-accessible. The planets you can access will have their icons "Lit Up" and respectively the planets that have been deleted from the TARDIS Memory matrix will have their icons dimmed. Now don't get the wrong idea, there will be plenty of planets still left in the database. Each planet will of course have their own set of features and characteristics and quirky things you will love. In the GUI named T.A.R.D.I.S World Selection Interface, there are many many features that will not be apparent to you at first....including comets, spaceships en route to their destination and the W------ly Easter Egg. To unlock new planets and new solar systems you must find that planets TARDIS Memory Crystal, A single crystal can be found on every planet. So im just going to stop talking now and show you an really early version of the TARDIS World Selection Interface.

The Time Vortex, also simply known as The Vortex, was the "place" through which all Time travellers passed. Space-time machines were able to pass through the vortex, including TARDISes and vortex manipulators. The Vortex was built by the Time Lords as a trans-dimensional Spiral that connected all points in space and time.

The Racnoss used them in their technology, to power their spacecraft and wake the hibernating young Racnoss at the core of the Earth. What is Regeneration: It is a process that allows a Time Lord who is old or mortally wounded to undergo a transformation into a new physical form and a somewhat different personality.
Features:
When the player reaches 0 health, regeneration will activate if the player has lives remaining (initially the player will start out with 12 lives). Once regeneration is activated, a few things happen:
Forced into sneak, severe movement decrease, severe look sensitivity lag
In third person rendering will pulsate a gold aura
Health bar turns into golden heart outlines, this is the regeneration percentage. One golden heart corresponds to 0.25 of a normal heart. The gHeart value will increase at the same rate as health regeneration on peaceful until full, hunger will be severely hit.
The player can receive normal damage during regeneration
When 10 gHearts are reached, the player will stop regenerating, and will have a total of 2.5 normal hearts
However...there are limits that will be put in place to prevent you from just jumping off a cliff just to rejuvenate your health. This is to provide a more realistic feel to the game play.

Cybermen are a "race" of cybernetically augmented humanoid. They varied greatly in design, with different factions throughout time and space. The two major groups, from which all other known versions derived, were the Mondasian Cybermen, which originated on the planet Mondas – Earth's twin planet in the Doctor's Universe – and the Cybermen created by Cybus Industries, which originated on Earth in an alternate universe.
Despite the different origins, there were similarities between both groups of Cybermen, and there were groups that shared the characteristics of both. For the most part, they lacked individuality or names. Cybermen had no emotions and viewed them as a weakness. They frequently attempted to physically and mentally re-engineer humans and other humanoids into Cybermen, via a process called "cyber-conversion" or "upgrading".

These Cybermen are not the Mondasian Cybermen (original series) these are the Cybus Industries Cybermen from Petes World
Cyber Leader is part of the commanding squad (marked by the golden color chest-plate), he then converts enough resources. The desired effect is a dynamically sized army, functioning mostly as a whole.
"Smart" Targeting
Due to the usage of a squad system, smart targeting becomes feasible. This means that if ANY member of the army recognizes a target, it adds it to its squads target list. The squad broadcasts this enemy to all sub-squads. If a squad runs out of things to attack, it asks it's leader for some more.
The second part of smart targeting, is that each target is assigned a priority. When a unit asks it's squad for a target, the squad responds with the highest priority enemy. The act of giving a unit a new target, removes some of the targets priority. This is why you will see different squads attacking different targets when in large masses. This particular feature is still a bit rough around the edges.

Description: (Heavily) Modified Version of Weeping Angel mod originally created by a_dizzle): The Weeping Angels ar a species of winged humanoids from the early universe, so called because they covered their faces, giving them a weeping appearance, to prevent trapping themselves in stone form for eternity. The Skith are humanoids, made of ice and covered in ice shards. Most are transparent, but some are different colors, including the red leader. They are capable of shooting ice shards from their hands.

The Krillitanes are a species able to take the abilities from other species, giving them new appearances and qualities. They could also create morphic illusions, giving them the appearance of yet other species.The Krillitanes have become more human-like, with shorter necks and smaller tails. They have various shades of skin ranging from pinkish to charcoal grey, sharp claws and a flattened, fanged face. They sleep upside down like bats and have very sensitive hearing. The Krillitanes are carnivorous and eat other sentient creatures, but they would also eat rats.

The Zaralok has shark-like in appearance, but have some differences to Earth sharks. It is about fifty feet long, partially covered in armored plates, with two separate caudal fins. It could withstand the enormous pressure of the ocean floor, and could see in the dim waters there thanks to its large eyes. It was extremely fast and flexible. It could also survive in salt water.

The Toclafane were cyborgs, the heads of humans integrated into metal spheres that were sealed shut, making them "pretty". The spheres could be shot down by an electrical surge of 58.5 kiloamperes, transferred charge 510 megajoules precisely; however, this was most unlikely because this power existed in lightning bolts, and the chances of one bolt striking a Toclafane were extremely low. Faries, as the human race called them, were dangerous humanoid entities native to the Earth. Fairies were not alien life-forms, but had lived alongside humanity since the Dawn of Time. Their exact nature was unclear, although Jack Harkness described them as part myth, part spirit world and part reality jumbled together, mixed with "old moments and memories". Fairies had a wide variety of advanced, seemingly magical abilities. They had control over the elements and could produce localized, deadly storms and gales. Not bound by normal physical laws, they could choose whether a camera could take their pictures. They made themselves invisible to closed circuit television cameras on one occasion. On another, they let their photographs be taken. It is a multifunctional tool used by The Doctor. Its most common function is that of a lockpick, but can be used to perform other operations such as performing medical scans, remotely controlling other devices and tracking alien life. It can, with the exception of a deadlock seal or wooden lock, open any type of lock and operate many computers, whether their origin is alien or human.
Design: Sonic Screwdriver Form: The current sonic screwdriver that has been created is to the style of the 9th and 10th Doctor Sonic Screw Driver. This model is known as the Mark VI Sonic Screwdriver, the 6th known sonic screwdriver and is thought that the 8th Doctor had used this model as well.

Thanks, we love to hear feed back like yours. AS for gallifrey, we are not adding it do to the fact we are going to be 100% accurate to the established background of the shows. Gallifrey is time locked and long long gone. We havent worked on regeneration past the opening scene regeneration. However regeneration wont be like....oh im running low on food or i only have 4 hearts of health imma jump off a cliff to regenerate. There will be restrictions on regeneration.
We are making a movie that will display to you right when you create a new game, its pretty awesome you can read about it in the new Main post its the first thing after the header images. Basically your tardis is crashing you get flung out of the doors and you hit the ground, wake up and your regeneration energy is dissipating. You just regenerated into the 12th doctor.

IN fact there is but only during the opening scene. After that almost 75% of the tardis' systems are destroyed or missing from the crash and destroyed by the huon particle disease including the tardis regeneration....to answer your question, will the tardis regenerate. Not after the opening scene

When we are choosing to decide whether or not we should add Smart Entities in, it depends on if there is enough background information on them to develop a clear and understandable backstory on them.
It also depends on what those creatures from any of the shows have to offer. We don't add things that are boring or insignificant. Nor do we add things in that cant be accurate to the show. For example....with the Silence, we chose to not to add them due to the fact that their most prominent and most interesting feature....the thing that makes them so creepy, their mind altering abilities. You cant do that in a game....and no matter the suggestions people have come up with have made it any better.... Having them invisible when you dont look at them is just a cheap way of dealing with the problem and it doesn't solve the fact that the silence are creepy due to their post hypnotic suggestion and their memory altering abilities. It just cant be done.
An example a creatures importants and value to the mod.....would be the vashta narada, yes they worked well in the show. They were creepy in the show. However, the Vashta Narada would never ever be on a planet in such deadly numbers. The only reason they were deadly was because of the library and they only occur on certain planets in very very low numbers. If we were to put them on various planets...and retain the show's continuity as we have done in everything else, then there would be no point. If we break from continuity and go with deadly numbers on every planet, then that creates a whole **** ton of new issues. Even the doctor in the episodes could not defeat them, the vashta narada and the doctor negotiated for a single day to evacuate the former population of the Library....it just wouldnt make sense to put a invisible and invincible enemy in every shadowon mostly every planet and have no reasonable way to kill them
As for adding things in days after an episode airs...it probably wont happen.
We do plan on expansion packs, however we wont be adding anything and everything that is in a new episode.
you could add one planet that has a lot of vastha nervada if you can find away around the instant kill part. and btw if you remember teh doctor says the vastha nervada on this planet only eat road kill BUT a few hikers sometimes go missing
Doesnt change the fact that they are undefeatable...and shadows.... come on... please... you dont have to be a scientist to realize the horrific effects making shadows in minecraft vashta narada would be....we tried it. It was god awful.
Also ..."one planet with lots of vashta narada" would be pointless and stupid. It wouldnt offer anything constructive to the mod, and noone would go there for the simple fact that you would die the instant you opened the tardis doors.

As for breaking the TARDIS and creating a universe killing explosion.....no...no we wont be using that becuase well....that would end the game lol.
As for damaging the tarids.....you start the game (yes there is a pre-determined start) you start the game in the tardis as its crashing.
However you only have 1 tardis, no more, so for that reason the tardis wont be totally destroyed but you will be able to cripple it and be forced to make repairs on it
so we could basicly make is so broken it cant even move but we would need to have repairs.
It's one of our secret projects until we get it to a presentable video demonstration stage. Because we have found there are mods out there that have been litterally copy and pasting our system explainations and trying to build them in their mods....they even have copy and pasted the freaking whole paragraphs as Ive described them...there was one stupid enough to even leave in iKingsSGC and the Mod Division branding in it in the middle of the description while claiming it as their own lol.
So yeah there are major security issues we have to consider when we are making this mod which is practically a brand new game.

This mod is currently still being developed that means that it has not been released for download. To understand this mod and its contents, you will need to read the entire post. Any questions asked about anything that has been discussed in this post may not be responded to. Reading through the entire post allows you to understand everything about this mod and the people working on it.
When we say that we want this mod to be made correctly we mean, we aren't going to be rushing out a Incomplete half-***ed version aka pre-release. Just because Mojang has begun to launch pre-release's via Minecraft does not mean it is a good Idea what so ever.
We want it to have the most quality a client mod can have in itself. We want it to be a pleasure to install this mod and play it. If we released a version of this mod and its not completed to our liking and you as the player use the incomplete version, then your client breaks, you would come back to our thread or website angry with us for breaking it.
As for testing, in the distant future a restricted 5 slot Alpha testing group will be selected . A small group of testers would eliminate any need to rush out a update to the Alpha if something happened. We can monitor the testing in a more controlled environment. The developers could remain in the same pace of development we prefer and not worry about having an angry mob rushing toward us screaming that things don't work. Or telling us to hurry up and release more features. This mod...is more than a mod. We are making a game within a game. It takes time, and we want to make sure we get things right.
Any negative comments on the thread will not be tolerated and any such individual that does not comply with this simple request will be reported to the proper Minecraft Forum / Planet Minecraft/ iKingsSGC Forums officials.

What is it?
The Smart Entity System is an entire new approach to how Smart Entities (Advanced mobs) are handled within the game of Minecraft. It allows for a nearly limitless cap of possibilities for any creature within the game, and enables most of these possibilities with staggering ease of both application and use. They think for themselves, they reply to you in a realistic manner, you could almost say the Smart Entities almost have unique personalities.
What does it do?
The simplest way for me to explain some of the features is with a list.
- Path-finding (to a block, following an entity, break blocks to get to destination, weighted blocks)
- Inventory (full customization of size)
- World interactions (break and place blocks)
- Action queue (ability to handle standard and custom actions in a way never seen before)
- Support for variance in size
- Extensive English Vocal vocabulary database
- Responds your actions in a realistic manner
- Speaks to you in actual vocal English and not just in text
- Many Many more features that I can't list at the moment
What are some features that will be seen in its future?
- Emotion based decisions (emotions will be affected by events that happen to the entity in question. emotions include but are not limited to: anger, love, greed, friendship, revenge)
- Rational Decision Making - ( the ability for the Smart Entity to judge its situation and come to a decision much in the same manner a human being would)
- Thousands of different response situations when interacting with the player - (currently only in the English language will be audible and vocal but language packs may/may not be made)
What are some examples of its usage in the game?
Currently we are employing the Smart Entity System for most of the entities in the Doctor Who Client Mod as well as its sister mod, the Stargate Chevron 7 Client Mod by the Mod Division. This is in an effort to give the player an entire new realm to play in, a place where your decisions regarding living elements of the world have a more direct impact on your game-play.
What does the future of the system look like as a whole?
This system will continue to be developed and custom tailored to the Doctor Who Client Mod as well as the Stargate: Chevron 7 Client Mod, both mods being developed by the Mod Division. This will hopefully bring the system as a whole to a very usable level for other developers, which will gain access (in the form of some kind of API) after a few months of the Doctor Who Client Mod's and Stargate Chevron 7 Client Mod's releases. This system is not one that we wish to hold back for too long, as it would provide the entire Minecraft modding community with a revolutionary tool that will change the way minecraft modding for mobs is done.
Mods that could possibly benefit from the release of this code are: army mods creating intelligent levels of command, rpg mods creating quests and a dynamic world, fantasy mods that want to have intelligent or mischievous entities interact with the player. We think that it would be unfair to the community to not give these mods the ability to create something great (after we have basked in its glory some, of course).

The Weeping Angels ar a species of winged humanoids from the early universe, so called because they covered their faces, giving them a weeping appearance, to prevent trapping themselves in stone form for eternity.
Features/Combat/Mechanics:
The Skith are humanoids, made of ice and covered in ice shards. Most are transparent, but some are different colors, including the red leader. They are capable of shooting ice shards from their hands.

The Krillitanes are a species able to take the abilities from other species, giving them new appearances and qualities. They could also create morphic illusions, giving them the appearance of yet other species.The Krillitanes have become more human-like, with shorter necks and smaller tails. They have various shades of skin ranging from pinkish to charcoal grey, sharp claws and a flattened, fanged face. They sleep upside down like bats and have very sensitive hearing. The Krillitanes are carnivorous and eat other sentient creatures, but they would also eat rats.

The Toclafane were cyborgs, the heads of humans integrated into metal spheres that were sealed shut, making them "pretty". They became a hive mind, allowing them to see the destruction of an individual as no threat. Their personality was amoral and childlike from a failed attempt to regress themselves to children.
The spheres could hover through the atmosphere and even fly through space, undamaged. Concealed within the sphere were extendable spikes and blades. A Toclafane could use them to slice up a human being. The spheres were also equipped with lasers that could turn humans into ash. The spheres could be shot down by an electrical surge of 58.5 kiloamperes, transferred charge 510 megajoules precisely; however, this was most unlikely because this power existed in lightning bolts, and the chances of one bolt striking a Toclafane were extremely low.

Faries, as the human race called them, were dangerous humanoid entities native to the Earth. Fairies were not alien life-forms, but had lived alongside humanity since the Dawn of Time. Their exact nature was unclear, although Jack Harkness described them as part myth, part spirit world and part reality jumbled together, mixed with "old moments and memories". Fairies had a wide variety of advanced, seemingly magical abilities. They had control over the elements and could produce localized, deadly storms and gales. Not bound by normal physical laws, they could choose whether a camera could take their pictures. They made themselves invisible to closed circuit television cameras on one occasion. On another, they let their photographs be taken. They could travel through time and had an apparently non-linear relationship to it; a picture of Jasmine Pierce, who became a Fairy in 2007, was seen in her fairy form in 1917. They could kill their victims by "stealing their breath", asphyxiating them by clogging their throats with rose petals.
Fairies could be seen in two forms: a small, glowing humanoid form with butterfly-like wings; and a human-sized, more monstrous form. Both forms had wings and could fly with ease. At least in the larger form, Jack Harkness described them as only visible from the corner of one's eyes.

Currently Earth, or Sol-3, has no humans inhabiting it, but a massive empire formed from the union of Daleks and Cybermen. In an alternate universe in which the Daleks, a vile race formed from the being known as Davros, had accepted the Mondasion Cybermen's offer to join forces to upgrade the universe, a new entity was formed. Once the alliance was created, the new creation, which was a Dalek-Cyberman hybrid.

Judoon are humanoids with stocky builds and rhinoceros-like heads. They have large lungs to breathe even in environments with low levels of oxygen. Their thick skins are capable of withstanding most forms of attacks and their ears are capable of selective hearing. Judoon have yellow blood. They had rather small brains; a Judoon brain is able to fit in a humanoid palm.

Thanks, we love to hear feed back like yours. AS for gallifrey, we are not adding it do to the fact we are going to be 100% accurate to the established background of the shows. Gallifrey is time locked and long long gone. We havent worked on regeneration past the opening scene regeneration. However regeneration wont be like....oh im running low on food or i only have 4 hearts of health imma jump off a cliff to regenerate. There will be restrictions on regeneration.
We are making a movie that will display to you right when you create a new game, its pretty awesome you can read about it in the new Main post its the first thing after the header images. Basically your tardis is crashing you get flung out of the doors and you hit the ground, wake up and your regeneration energy is dissipating. You just regenerated into the 12th doctor.
