Also I have a suggestion, since you said you were going to re-create the Doctor Who soundtrack, would it be possible to add records to the game for Vale Decem, A Dazzling End, and This is Gallifrey? They're my favorites off of David Tennant's run on the show (with all that I've heard), and would love to be able to pop in A Dazzling End while just chilling in my house.

The common idea would be to put things on records but we are trying to make it so you are the doctor on one of his adventures. This includes the "4th wall" what the fourth wall is in televison and movie production is making the cast completely unaware they are in a tv show. Putting in a record of the soundtrack music would be breaking the 4th wall.
But yes, I have already finished Vale Decem, dazzling end, as well as This is gallifrey, our home our childhood. and let me just say they are absolutely amazing.
When the mod releases we will be releasing a official mod soundtrack with all the tracks we recreated on them.
As for the cybermen issue. The episode with the cybermen with the cybermats (silverfish thing) were the original mondas cybermen.
The cybermen in the mod are the cybus industries parallel universe cybermen. They dont have cybermats.
As for the strong hold thing. Thats common thinking in most mods. Just have custom mobs to common things. Well thats not really how our mod team thinks. We take ideas and stretch them and take them out of the box.
Our lead developer yofreke, has made a Smart Artificial Intellectual (being called SAI by a few people) capable of mimicking emotions, strategic thinking and complex thinking patterns depending on the specific Smart Entity (mob)
So the cybermen in the mob act exactly as cybermen would in the show. Daleks act as they would in the show. faries act as they would in torchwood.
SAI (smart ai) opens up a whole new level of possibilities that werent ever possible in minecraft until now. When the mod comes out it will be DOCTOR WHO in a MINECRAFT environment. Not minecraft with random doctor who stuff mixed in.
Its really fantastic at what the team is doing with the mod.

I thought this was an alternate universe. With the blocks, and Gallefrey un-time-locked, and such. Could it be possible for the Cybermats (apparently) to be spies, deactivating traps and allowing for Cyberman strategy? I realize reskinning the Silverfish was a bad idea, but I still like them.

Most people never really would go into the ocean, simply because there is nothing to do there but find land. Why not make it more of a challenge, with a few infrequent spawning mobs, such as the Sea Devils (Basically aquatic Silurians) or maybe Nessie, who would spawn once every 40 minutes (or 2 Mincraftian days)
Also, the Doctor doesn't use weapons, we all know that, but why not include some that his companions have used? Maybe River's pistol, from the Pandorica arc, or salvage the lasers from a Dalek?

I think your refering the gun that Jack built in christopher eccelstone's last episode. That wasnt a dalek laser weapon that was a pulse rifle built out of parts from the crazy homicidal robots. It then reappeared in Journeys end when he killed the dalek after it shot david tennants doctor

That was a laser built from a defabricator (I think that's what it was called) that was originally made to only destroy clothing materials, rather than flesh, hence the name. Captain Jack used it to combat the Daleks, but it only had 1 shot after his modifications.

in any case, i forgot what i was going to say. so, while i try to remember, i'm going to look on wikipedia to remember the episodes i've seen and find ideas, maybe find what i originally thought. :tongue.gif:

maybe for one of those story things have the "devil" from the impossible planet/the satan pit as one of those specific place things (it would of course be a one time visit) but maybe in a more minecrafty style, especially since the doctor isn't where a lot of the stuff is happening. it wouldn't be completely true to the episode if you want to make it fun. i suggest the doctor would be in the base, avoid the ood in a sort of zombie apocalypse style, and have a boss fight underground with the boss. i know this is nothing like the episode, but it would make it more enjoyable. and fighting the boss, well. FIGHTING, but it is still minecraft, and either way it sounds like you'll have to kill things.
for the planet of the ood if it's added, maybe to make it less barren with the gigantic stone cities of epicness from the end of time.
i think judoon were already discussed, along with sontarans and the vashta narada. what were the verdicts on those? i remember most were shot down but i remember a few good ones, not sure if anyone responded to them.
if you can think of something for pyroviles or hath.
maybe you can go to the planet with the sapphire waterfall. you'd probably have to get creative since there's little detail in the show, but if you don't put anything from it on the thread, then you yourself could "discover" the "secret" of the planet!
maybe a very rare metal manta thing invasion that starts to turn areas into sand. might be a bit cheap, that would have to be worked out. maybe just drop sand, and only appear on planets where there isn't too much to go for, and the world would generate normally if you leave the area.
cacti from the end of time? :3 maybe the vampire fish guys? or a flying fish easter egg? you'd somehow activate it during a storm and the fish would come up and you'd be eaten by a shark! :biggrin.gif:
maybe an adventure in the labyrinth hotel thing, with the minotaur, and you somehow go insane after seeing your room, the problem being that either finding your room and letting the beast find you, dying, or waiting a really long time to find the tardis if you leave it would be the only ways out.
