Aint nothing like the DWCM out there however there are some really great mods out there that we like and appreciate.
Doctor Who Client Mod is a full game being built on-top of minecraft and in its pre-alpha stages already has over 800 unique and custom systems/features that have never been done in minecraft before. We hope for the DWCM to become a base to revolutionize minecraft modding as people see it today.
It is developers such as us, and other developers such as you and others on your project that are the future of this game (despite what mojang thinks)
hey man, he was just trying to be nice, you see, he's making a timetraveling mod, that is also in wip, so don't just go there, say something like cool, or that looks like a great mod, just, dont go there

The twilight warrior.
Master of darkness and light, bound to no element, this entity is ruthless, cruel, but fair, when he looks at you he sees your whole soul, and if your heart is tipped to the darkness, or to the light, run, and hope he doesn't think you're worthy....

Dont go where? Admitting there are great mods out there while still saying that Doctor Who Client Mod is the most unique thing every done in minecraft modding?
I dont see what I did wrong. I said that there are mods such as his that we like and appreciate. I wasnt being egotistical, I was simply saying that developers such as us are the future of minecraft.
When Minecraft is dieing from the lame stuff being added that is destructive to the game, the people that will be there to keep the embers burning are developers such as everyone on the iKingsSGC Mod Division and other creative thinkers behind mods like carsmunds mod.
One can only hope that the thousands of people behind "Obsidian Tools and other 'Mo tools" mods will not be around.
I was simply stating that Minecrafts future is in the hands of the modding community and its projects like the DWCM that will revolutionize that community.
So Im sorry but I dont see what you mean by saying "just dont go where"..... dont go...where?
I don't mind, it's actually a compliment. Your mod actually sort of gave me the idea, because your mod doesn't have the time travely element (at least not that I can see), but it does look truly epical. As epical as epicaltoast, which is quite epical.

Lol, well good to know we can inspire people.
As for wibbly wobbly time travel stuff. We do have some quite special plans in store.
What you guys see in the post is probably less than 25% of what we are actually working on has been revealed.
Our plans for time travel involve some seriously complex things while being simple for the player. Unlike your time travel our TT doesnt involve specific details about building and seeing yourself build and that such things. Its more of an advanced time lapse sort of thing (not really but its all I can say without giving too much away lol)
The Time Travel in DWCM involves many elements ranging from the TARDIS itself, the Time Vortex, the Time Vortex minigame, world generation, pathfinding, bots and some really amazing wibbly wobbly stuff.
In the DWCM we kinda go way beyond what normally goes into minecraft modifications. It helps to think of DWCM and other Mod Division projects as whole games being built ontop of minecraft.
It's the most WONDERFUL Time of the year again and iSanta Claus is coming to town, Mean old Mr. Grinch is running around trying to steal the TARDIS and ruin Christmas but fear not we here at the iKingsSGC have got some sweats and treats lined up for some special events counting down the days until Christmas Day and of course the Doctor Who Christmas 2012 special " The Snowmen"

Yup!
What most people dont do is look ath the description of the video. I like for the people looking at our stuff to actually use their brains to find out information. So all info is either in a spoiler on this thread) But we prefer if they goto the iKingsSGC Forums link where they can find that info and all the other info they could wish for.
Its sad that so few people actually read and then go " Where dah download" " Hey can you do a video on _____" "We wanna know info about _____ "
My Simple response to them is .... read the main post and then goto the links it tells you too, all answers can be found there
Looking great! Just sad that we won't be able to play it this Christmas (at least I think ) And I like the rainbows as well
THANKS! I know it is sad. Our original plans were to start closed betas in late december but that has been pushed back because we delayed thinking we would be updating to 1.3, 1.4 or whatever version the API is released on. SInce we now have confirmation the API is going to be nothing but destructive we decided to stay on 1.2.5. Our launcher and client have been started and coding on them is going swimingly!
However despite us now actively moving forward without thinking of what mojang is doing we still are VERY VERY few in numbers when it comes to Java Developers (coders.) We need talented coders to join up to move development along.
Part of the slow development comes soley from lack of manpower.
/me subtly notions kyron to consider joining up in the Mod Division

I'll consider it, the problem is not my motivation (I would like helping out a lot!) but that this is my final year in school so exams are coming.
I would be able to code in spare time and I have enough spare time but I wouldn't be able to secure that I have things finished in time. Maybe there are some long-deadline things that I might be able to do but I can't always promise I have .... done by, let's say, the next .... days etc.

I totally understand. I graduated last year and it was stressful towards the end of the year...even if I didnt actually have to go to the school cuz of my ankle it was very much stressful. I think my exams were more stressful than if I would have taken them in school because a different tutor that I didnt work with all year long was proctering them. Imagine every move being watched by someone you dont know while they are sitting right next to you. It really shakes your nerves lol
As for timing I totally understand that. We try to give most assignments out with a 1 and a half to 2 week grace period of completion depending on what the assignment is.
With the DWCM being on 1.2.5 and not 1.3 and above we dont have to worry about LAN which with bigger things is a blessing.
At the current moment we are very much in need of java developers regardless of how much time they can spend each day. So this invitation extends to any talented coders who view this post.
On the Second Day of Christmas TheiKing Gave to Me:
Dalek Command Fortress!
Yes that is right in this video I show Daleks building a basic Dalek Command Fortress! You guys have been asking for it and now for Day 2 of the christmas festivities here you go!
Dalek Overseers Dalek overseers are in charge of several squads of daleks (superiors to the commanders); commanders can be promoted to overseers. overseers handle the main progression of the base building / empire building:
Determine what tasks are to be completed
Delegate tasks to squads
Receives all experience gathered by drones. Normal XP orbs are converted to Dalek XP (dark colored) on contact with a Dalek entity. Dalek XP orbs will pathfind a route to the current Overseer. This allows the player to have a method of locating the Overseer.
Dalek Commanders Dalek commanders are the leaders of each individual âsquadâ of daleks, while they dont actually do much more than the dalek drones, they do have a higher level of authority and do a couple of different tasks as well. basic functions of the dalek commander:
Mine down to base, somewhere underground close to bedrock
Build base of minimal size
Define regions reserved for resource gather, storage, etc.
Monitor status of colony
Dalek Drones Dalek drones serve in a variety of different ways:
Miner: A squad of miners will take on all responsibilities associated with mining and resource gathering including:
Miners do -not- scan for minerals, but rather dig in patterns like player would
Collect wood by either returning to the surface or by using some sort of synthetic wood producer
Technician: A squad of technicians will generally only be stationed within the Dalek base attending to tasks involving the upkeep of the base:
Monitor technological blocks such as teleporter and armor manufacturing blocks
Tend to injured members of the colony
Fighters: Fighters will be much better equipped for fighting (go figure) than the other daleks (although all of them will be perfectly capable of fighting), they will serve as guards for the most part:
Guard entrances to colony, as well as respond to any enemy alerts
Guard overseers
Remain dormant and in storage if not needed
Special fighter unit will be in charge of world conversion. This process is slow, and will convert grass into a red grass to resemble Skaro. All trees will be removed from the area as well.
(note: these are the daleks specially designed to be fighters)
Colony Progression
A colony will start out as the three Daleks who land on Minecraftia, they will tunnel to the depths in an effort to start building their army. The colony will originate somewhere deep underground (less than 16 blocks from bedrock), and it will grow upwards as it grows in power. Eventually branching out even into the surface and destroying any non Dalek life it meets. They will convert the land into a barren wasteland full of manufacturing nodes guarded by fighter units. Ultimately the colony (empire at this point) will be searching for the Tardis, and they will do their best to keep the player away from the Tardis. This entire idea revolves around the goal of the Daleks in the show: exterminate all other life, exterminate the doctor, and take his Tardis. This is a VERY ambitious goal for the Daleks, but it should be feasible with the limited AI knowledge I currently posses.
Node Types - Each node has a Commander in charge of that nodes operations. Each node has a specific task that it wishes to complete - When Daleks are first introduced to a world, they will make an OP(UG)
Outpost(Under Ground)
Outpost(Over Ground)
Mining
Metal Refining / Forge
Storage
Overseer Center
Outpost(Military)
Milatary units wander between OP(M) gathering experience
Production / Generation
Production is determined by squad, based on needs of current situation
Cobblestone Production
Wood Collection?
Badass Spire (was going to be a question, however the mod is incomplete without some badass spires)
Tech Progression - - When cost is met, OP(UG) commander goes to command new production node. He will then begin producing Daleks - First produced is Overseer, takes command of original OP(UG) - Overseer then works on converting world to Dalek
Notes on Pathfinding Warning, itâs about to get technical. The pathfinding will primarily be based on a waypoint system. The bots will initially pioneer out into the world, breaking down whatever stands in their way. While they do this, they will establish important waypoints for later use. Once a colony is established, all bots will have access to this waypoint list. Bots will try to find a path using waypoints before breaking through walls in an effort to minimize impact on world. When a bot places a block, it will notify minecraft that the block should be protected. This means that the block will not be broken by other bots. If a bot is not be able to find a path between two waypoints that is not obstructed by protected blocks, then it will begin an adapted A* pathfinding routine to determine the best possible way of getting to the next waypoint. The objective of this system is to allow the bots to create complex tunnel networks and routes of travel, while still maintaining their built structures as well as preserving some of the landscape. If a player changes a protected block, it will notify a technician that is âmonitoring the surroundingsâ, which will then notify a miner that a corridor needs fixing.

yep they are though there made pretty well although i saw some loops they seemed to fix themselfes (no modder just knowing the loop)
Still a few glitches with Pathfinding and daleks communicating with each other to determin which Dalek should do whcih task. Sometimes when one dalek does a task another dalek was working on it glitches for a few seconds then fixes itself and assigns a new task to itself.
