To me, a lot of mods don't fit in. Occaisionally I'll find one that I say "Hey, that's neat, I'll keep it." Oftentimes, though, I see that mods don't really 'connect' with the feel of Minecraft. Sure, 'Timber!' and 'Weeping Angels' fit in perfectly fine, and add a sort of realistic/scare factor to the game (not that it isn't already scary.)
Instead, I will be programming with my beginner's skill a few new features...or, a lot of new features. Mostly they will be tiny additions or modifications, but it's mainly to be configured to the way I feel Minecraft should be.
Although, I am completely open to advice and suggestions for other features. Whether you're a modder or not, please, comment below, and what you suggest/advise may be added into the mod!
Again, I am a beginner at programming Java. A lot of these features will be rather small; spinoffs of the code already in the game. I am using Minecraft Coder Pack to do so, which is a great tool and I suggest everybody tries it. Easy to add content.
@RabbitHit
I appreciate the offer, but mostly I'm just trying out how I fare with Java. I've previous experience with a few other languages, but I have to say Java is one of the more complicated. Perhaps in the future, once I've earned enough knowledge to create bigger projects, I'll meet you halfway. :smile.gif:

That it is...but this morning, I added all of copper into the game (ore, block, bar, weapons, tools!) :biggrin.gif:
Thanks! :biggrin.gif:
