EDIT1: Whilst eclipse is booting up, I figured I'd point out; at least in early iterations, I'll simply be adding the entire terrain generation algorithm from deobsfuscated sources of each older version with unique terrain generation (i.e. from the OP), a small loader that tells the game which terrain generator to use, and the UI addition to control said loader. I really don't know how that will affect biomed, mob spawning etc, as I've never coded terrain generation to a large scale before.

EDIT2: ModLoader has a terrain generation hook, but would be a poor choice for what we're trying to do here. Never mind, was worth a try!
