Is the three step system gonna a surprise until the mod is updated?
When your digimon die they will drop their egg so you never lose your actual digimon. I think it was agreed to also add random digimon eggs you can get either from spawns or another way. As for how it will all work...let's just say we're throwing some twists in there from what people would normally think. If things go well and we can add each element we want, it will be very exciting when your digimon dies and the task to re hatch it will keep you busy :wink.gif:
For some info about some of the future items if we can get them all in:
-Aside from the 12 digitama textures I did, I'm making an additional 12 that will be part of the twist.
-11 versions of the special item we plan on adding.
-We decided the best way to evolve the champions is through cards. I've also made 12 versions of those.
As far as what will be chosen and make it in the mod depends on how many items can be fit into the mod and if all the versions are going to be used for each type of digimon or 1 of the item versions for all of them. For example, the blue card itself instead of the blue card and all the other versions.

Ok, I'm trying to imagine what the hatching system could be... Would it be challenging?
Also, i have one suggestion for when your tamed digimon dies. Maybe the egg could spawn in your inventory and you could place it where you want?

Well in the anime the way they got those digi-eggs i think there should be a spawned building like that. Someone mentioned earlier a way of being able to add your own buildings ibto it if you did that then you could make it more like the anime aswell as gibe it another means of exploration and special item/digimon spawning area.
After version .5 is done and you dont have anything major planned then this could be an option however if you can find a way to do this i would really like to be able to build some buildings for you, you could even make a little competition out of it (no rewards) and give some people the chance to do something for the mod if they are unable to do at the moment aswell as something to do between updates.

I can't say I know when the update will be out since Tyler seems to be away for the holidays.
There is a -fairly- large bug with the exp system that I havent figured out how to fix it yet.
I could release it with it in there, but everyone would be unable to digivolve :sad.gif:
That and Tyler still has the code for the hostile mobs, so that is a negative too.
I would hate to release as is, because all it would have is
-Fixed models
-A half working exp system
-90% of the GUI Xros Loader(With the ability to store the digimon still being worked on)
-Lots of colorful items that don't have a purpose :biggrin.gif:
There are a few problems with the armor eggs. That being, that we have no armor digimon. Although I do like the building idea. I would be glad to let people design them and such.
But that may be in the far off future.
After .5 we will be implementing the champions hopefully, and possibly the baby forms for .6, and then the new dimension for .7 (At least at the rate we are going now).

Seeing as how it may be a while before .5 as your waiting for Tyler you could work on champion implementation and just use the digivice for dv if your still using that at least for the time being. This way youll have something to do unless your working on something else but if not then ill have a bit of time to complete kabiterimon which i giarantee will be sent to you before 25th so its a little christmas present.
This EXP bug do you have an error report if so id like to have a look at it may not do any good as i cant code however i can spot mistakes such as things not being completed correctly although if its code mixing with others is there a way you can describe the bug/ error whatever it is so that we may be able to help.
About the armour digimon i say soneone should make one of the rookies unless patamon or gatoman(damn she champion) are used then 1 of thier armour evolutions could be made to accomodate for armour egg testing. Ill make a pegususmon if i can or someone else can try but i dont think theres much point until other digimon have been made and the mod is much more updated.

Well, I decided to cave in. Rather than waiting until next year so I can finally start on my Computer Science minor, I decided to get a java book and start studying on it. Perhaps in the coming months I'll be able to do more than bug fixes and simple little codes. Beats having to wait until next year?
Think I may have the exp system functional now. I just need to make sure the items in relation to it are working properly, and we may have something.
For those of you who got to see the Digitama textures a while back, their model versions are now finished. You can see them on my photobucket in the sub-album. We're adding both the models and textures in one of the updates after .5 along with the baby digimon I'm sure. We have the egg/hatching system planned out and all the items/models for it. Once coding for .5 is finished, it can begin for the egg system or champions whichever comes first. When we near close to .6 release we'll post how everything will work so by then everything decided is final. No need to tell you guys something will be in the mod and it not make it in.

since i usually don't suggest anything and tyler is temporarily not coding i didnt want to suggest this, but maybe using digitears could lure virus types to the player/ or tame them. idk, just another brainstorm

That is actually the next thing to be implemented into the exp system- the different types of digimon exp. (See Dawn and Dusk)
PLEASE HELP! I AM HAVING TROUBLE INSTALLING THIS AWESOME MOD
i am using a mac and this is what i do
i copy and paste the modloader classes into my minecraft.jar unarchived folder. after that i copy all of the digimobs files in the "To Jar" folder except for the mobs folder and paste them into the minecraft.jar. i then copy all the digimobs in the mobs folder then paste them into the mobs folder in minecraft.jar. then i finish up by deleteing the META-INF folder. after i do all these things it does not work! CAN SOMONE PLEASE HELP ME SO I CAN USE THIS AWESOME MOD!!!!!
PS. i wanted to use SPC and Too Many Items so can somone also include these in the instructions if they are compatible, PLEASE!!!!!!

The spawn rates may get slightly reworked. That may hold off until the next update.
I know what the exp problem is. There is a problem with one of the variables in the file. I just..don't know how to make it to the right variable.
I may have it working though. I will need to actually experiment with it(which...will take place in a few hours)
