XD looks like you guys are getting work done quite at a good pace strill really can't wait to see this and lol again I hope it won't get harder for you guys as the updates come out here's a for your progress
I hope it is at a decent pace. I feel as if it is, but I know I get a little lazy on getting models done. Granted somedays I am just stuck at school from essientially, 9am till 9pm, somedays I just neglect it :sad.gif: Although then I feel bad and get a lot done at once! It works I guess.
Hi guys im currently on a road trip with my fam! just arrived in vegas :biggrin.gif: were gonna keep going to scotsdale arizona! i currently working on the 24/7!
I have my laptop in my lap proggraming while my parents drive. Its fun :biggrin.gif:. Expect v1.0 beta released in a few weeks no more than a month and a half! You guys can follow me on twitter at : https://twitter.com/#!/TylerHasman
I will post updates on digimon everyday! So stay tuned for pics and info on digimobs
...Why did I start thinking that someone is going to put Digimobs versus Pokemobs after I saw the title?
It wouldn't surprise me. Although this is not meant to compete with Pokemobs in anyway. This is really the only appropriate name for the mod if you think about it. Others I considered were:
Digicraft
DIGIMONS IN MINECRAFT!!
Digimon Mod
So you can see that this was totally the best choice :biggrin.gif:
SO FUNNY STORY,
Tyler sent me the trial version to try out and stuff like he just mentioned. And as of...Now, I do not have internet on my labtop(this is from my phone), so I try it out and..ERROR!
So, I'm trying to figure out what I did wrong and finally realized what was up.
I don't have 1.8.1 installed yet :sleep.gif:
So, don't expect me to post any reviews about what it is like until at least Sunday.
Note to self: Keep things updated, because I am a moron.
This mod has huge potential! Just from the few pics of models, I'm already interested. Once you guys get a beta version out I'm sure this forum will increase. When going to get pokemobs I saw this forum named Digimobs. I couldn't believe my eyes so obviously I clicked it right away and I agree that this is the best name for it :laugh.gif: I was wondering though, when you guys were talking about sizes for the models 8x8x8 seemed to be the common size. Now was that for the program you guys are using or eventually in game sizes? I'm sure either way would still be amazing. Personally I would want the baby digimon to be relative to the minecraft character size so I guess the core body would be 1 block and then each evolution would scale upward 2/3/4-5 blocks high with the rest of the body scaling appropriately, something along those lines. Just trying to picture it in game and probably just too used to the pokemobs sizes. So glad you found inspiration from it to create your own. I actually have a world with giant 3d digimon models. Imagine 48/64/126 size models in the distance with the ground around them full of the little versions! Can't wait for that first beta.

Do to minecraft great physics (Sarcasm!) big mobs have never worked out much. Times like the aether are diffrent, do to the aether dimension being so open with few things in the way. Mobs like the flying whale thing have no difficulty. But as soon as you start talking about giant digimon in the real world, lets just say this: pretty much you will spend most of your digitastic time un-stucking the digimon. Just look at the giant, i know you dont mean that big (like a giant) but Koromon spawn near trees soooo:
Giant Koromon + Forest + Trees = Stuck!
Giant Tsunomon + Forest + Trees = Stuck!
Mega Agumon + Forest + Trees = END OF THE WORLD
So i wouldnt keep your hopes up. Maybe we can tweek the digimon just a bit bigger but probably not.
-Tyler
lol huge digimon would look cool but yeah would be fail to move around but the in-trainings are supposed to be small and cute anyways so lol but when or if the mods ever implements megas then maybe they could be big but lol would still be hard to get the to move around
oh and mabye make this compatable with pokemobs lol I would love to put my digimon against pokemon or have them team up and fight with each other XD

Hi there.
I just wanted to mention that the 8x8x8 was just for Techne purposes. My intention is to make them as much to scale as possible, within minecraft. So be rest assured of that.
Although, when some of the bigger digimon come..Well. I don't want them scaled down, so, better make room for them!(or hey, de digivolve them down to a smaller size)

Sounds awesome. Also, to my post above the giant digimon I meant my personal statues, not from the mod =). The little guys from the mod will complete the world.
So, I figured I would update/bump this while Tyler is hard at work on coding.
I figure I would kind of elaborate on my side and kinda the plans I have at the moment.
But first, finally tested the game. However there are definitely a few kinks that still need working out(like the fact that the in-training forms bounce around with green slime coming from them, due to being made like a slime) Yeah. It'll get there. Rest assured that they are to scale, as far as minecraft standards go!
I started to post a picture of Gabumon since I just finished redoing him. And then I decided.."There are just too many pictures for me to put up on here." Solution? Post the link to photobucket so everyone can go view them there. I plan on updating the main page with my photobucket link so everyone can go view them, and then I'll just limit it to 2-3 pictures on the main page.
Here is how my fuzzy rough idea of how I plan on the first few releases working:
First the beta(probaly .5) will be released, covering the basic taming functions, and the digimon that make it to the completed list on the front page.
Next is, 1.0, which will have some goodies in it, and will hopefully feature the 8 main digimon from season one in there in-training and rookie forms.(and maybe a few others, more details on that will come later on)
1.5 I hope to include some items, but thats a concept I am just developing in my head at the moment. What will these items do? Well, that's really what I wanted to get to in this post.
My goal is to make branched evolutions possible eventually through items. The idea I had at the moment is an item with a to be determined name. We'll call it "Virus Data" for example's purposes.
So you feed a certain amount of this virus data to your pet koromon, and, when he digivolves, something strange happens! He digivolves to BlackAgumon rather than Agumon! Or take Tokomon. He digivolves to..DemiDevimon rather than Patamon!
I hope to keep it as canon as possible, but some digimon may just end up added to in-training forms because they don't have one themselves(DemiDevimon, for instance)
I have a decently plotted out line of how that should go, when I get around to discussing it with Tyler :biggrin.gif:
Koromon-Agumon-Greymon-Metalgreymon-Wargreymon
(V.Data)-BlackAgumon-BlackGreymon-Skullgreymon-Blackwargreymon
(???) -AgumonS(that being the one from Savers, to differientiate it and all)-Geogreymon-Risegreymon-Shinegreymon
Something like that. It's just the basic idea, and I'm sure some of those branches may not be done for awhile. Although, Blackagumon may be easy to get in, because it would basically just involve some retexturing.(Minus Skullgreymon) I may work on those on the side too.
I apologize for the rambling. I just thought some people my be interested in how I hope to have the evolution process going eventually. For now it will just be pretty basic though.
Also, some people may be wondering, "When are you going to make some past the rookie form?!"
Tyler and I decided that it would be best to get the first two forms implmented first, and then work up. I hope to begin working on those once I wrap up in-training and rookie forms. Albeit slowly. I have a feeling that those are going to take awhile to make, seeing as how some of them are a bit more complex.(Looking at you, Angemon)
I plan on reworking the main page to make it look a little bit more organized. Feel free to leave questions if you want! I'll try to answer them as best as possible. (No, I do not need testers. Everyone will get that chance come v0.5 :biggrin.gif:)
