hey friz noticed you missed the normal sat stream, or my autolaunch broke. anyway hope all is well.
you plan on doing one this week or wait til sat? [i think tues nights are your if i missed days?]
The Hack/Mine update stream resumes today at 5:30 PM CST! Be there, or be rectangular.
In other news, I'm fixing to make a video of Nebulous Rax, as I've made major progress in terms of terrain seams, not to mention a bunch of graphical improvements. As soon as things are more polished, I believe I'll be moving on to models and animation!
Hey folks, I've got a wedding to attend tonight, so the stream is postponed to another day. I've also been kinda ill and don't want to overdo it, so we're gonna play it by ear and pick day where I'm feeling better, so stay tuned!
good to see you havent abandoned hsm! percent-wise, how close are you to completing the conversion of hsm?
Ehhh it's really hard to say. I'm guessing between 70-80% progress towards open-LAN? (Not independent server.) I've got to reintegrate dungeons, some Spellscript features, work on the area system a bit, ensure the mystery dimension is solid, and after some bug fixing it should be about ready. Hopefully I haven't forgotten anything!
Can't wait to work with SpellScript in the new update along with figuring out and bring back old Hack Slash Mine tricks.
Hopefully plugin creation for the next version will be easier as it's open source, I know people have created somewhat working Bukkit versions for HSM although they had some flaws.

plugin creation shouldn't be a thing because bukket is dead, there should not be anymore updates this is due to the DMCA Takedown
if you are still using bukket i suggest you move to forge, most plugins have been ported to forge now anyway, some examples are below
essentials = forge essentials, PermissionsEx = Permission Forge,
i personally still use 1.7.10 cauldron so i use both forge mods & bukket plugins,
but this is only because im still on 1.7

get well soon, looking forward to next stream, in honor of the normal stream night im going to watch last weeks stream i joined extremely late
a question about the mage spell that moves blocks, how will that work with like region protections?
also during last saved stream at when you used lighting shot you seem to zoom in, this is a vanilla mc feature, i am puzzled that the keybinding isnt showing up for you but heres where it should be
the other thing that could be causing it is the hate spell, hopefully this helps you resolve the bug
im sorry i came in so late i prob could of helped more
/shakes fist at computer
il be at the next steam >.<
Hey folks, stream tonight at 7 PM CST, be there! I'm hoping to do some extra days in the middle of week since I missed the past two, sorry about that.
@Givemhell1337 Yeah just been sick, not fun. Also thanks for pointing out the key binding, will have to investigate.
UPDATE: Thought I was good, but really not feeling it now that I've gotten prepped. Sorry folks, let's reschedule. (Just trying to avoid a boring stream.) I'm going to work on the mod tonight off stream, so we'll still be making progress!

I hope it manages to get released in 2015!
This mod has been in development for over 1 year to get ported and despite @Frizzil having that issue, I hope it gets done. It is a well done mod, and I hope it can be possible for me to port it to forge when the source is released.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Building a desktop is much cheaper than buying any laptop or desktop, plus you get much better bang for your buck!

i think he plans on supporting forge i remember someone asking him about forge in a stream
sad to see there wasnt a stream this sat hopefully your feeling better friz
Hey everyone, Frizzil here, I have some serious news:
I had a colonoscopy today, and by complete surprise, they discovered a two inch mass that appears malignant. Fortunately, though, it doesn't appear to have spread anywhere, and I'll be having surgery in the next few days (hopefully tomorrow) to remove it. After some testing we'll know for certain what kind of cancer I'm dealing with, what my outlook is, etc. However, it seems they caught it super early, which is great! Things are looking positive -- it's likely they'll just remove the affected section of the colon and I'll be better. And of course, I'm relieved to finally know what's been causing me pain! Not that I'm out of the woods... but thank God I asked my doctor for a colonoscopy, or I'd be in far worse trouble down the road!
If you've kept up or noticed the lack of streams over the last four weeks, you'll know that I haven't been well, and this would be a likely explanation to the problems I've been having (particularly the hip pain). I'll keep everyone posted as things progress -- I should have more info tomorrow. Thanks everyone for the support, and no need to worry just yet. Things currently look positive

It's hard not to worry... I really do hope things go well, and your life gets back in order, (and hopefully there won't be huge bills to pay!). It's awesome you're staying positive
Update: surgery went really well, it doesn't look like the cancer has spread, and I'm recovering really quickly. I'm in a lot of pain, but otherwise I'm not worried. Should get pathology tomorrow or day afterwards, and we can rule out bad stuff for sure. Currently doesn't look like I'll have to do chemo, so hopefully everything keeps going well!
Sorry to worry any of you, this has all been really spontaneous, but I'm incredibly thankful they caught this so early. Life advice: be persistent in seeking useful healthcare! Don't let "Go see a chiropractor" be the answer when it hasn't improved anything in over a month.
In other news, they took out the catheter today, I've transitioned from a "clear liquid" to a "full liquid" diet, and I started pooping again Fun times.
Will keep posting updates, thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

Yeah, I have good insurance so no worries on the bills, thank goodness. I'll continue to be positive until there's good reason to worry Surgeon's opinions on cancer are almost always right, and they don't think on observation that it's bad -- lymph nodes around colon look great, and liver looks perfectly fine (first place it usually spreads too), so it's probably stage 2, possibly stage 3. Worst case is I have to do a little chemo, but even then the outlook is great.

Thanks man, that means a lot. I'm recovering really quickly fwiw, might get out of the hospital tomorrow night,

Ah, that's awesome. Really is great you caught it early.
From here on, let's hope you'll only be feeling better and better
And just like givemhell said, we do care about you. Hard not to care about someone as nice as you
Hey people, I've been discharged from the hospital, recovering really well. Got the path back, and everything looks great with one exception: liver was clean, area around incision was clean, but 2 out of 21 lymph nodes harvested were cancer positive. That's a very low ratio of lymph nodes affected, but regardless it seems I'll need some chemo to make sure the cancer never comes back. I'm gonna be just fine, no worries, it just means I'll have to do a little chemo, which sucks. No radiation therapy or anything like that. Otherwise, we're still waiting on information and to see an oncologist, at which point we'll know a lot more about treatment.
Obviously all of this is throwing a wrench in my plans, but I promise I'm still updating Hack/Mine, or if worst comes to worst, open sourcing it as incomplete or handing it over someone else (though I don't think either will be necessary.) I'm still committed to Nebulous Rax, but I have a feeling HSM will take precedence while I'm recovering.
Gonna update the OP now, seems reasonable. Again, thanks for your thoughts and prayers!

Hey folks, missed the stream last week, apologies, been crunching to get some things done. I plan on doing a stream tomorrow at 4 CST, so be there!
@Givemhell1337 I normally set a loose goal for Saturday, and otherwise reschedule, but alas it's been a busy week
its all good, il see you there ^.^
