I have some wrenches I'll sadly need to throw in the tire.
1. 5x5, 6x6, and 7x7 Crafting tables- 4x4 and (MAYBE) 5x5 would work- but you would have serious coding to do to implement all of these new recipes and it would take up a lot of time. Plus you only have a few that 5x5 would work for up to my knowledge.
2. In a while you might have to deal with a new update which might be like a blockade- might take a new route, or ignore the blockade and keep on going till you get pulled over by a cop (more like a mega bug but you get my point).
3. How do you even think you will make different generations (the 5 you showed on the main topic)?
Sorry but I just do not see how this will work! If you would of made a smaller project like 4x4 crafting or something I wouldn't have listed this. If you have an idea on how to get past the (mainly Notch updating) list problems please respond with how! I'd love to hear it.

It probably will only be updated if there is a major update to minecraft. If there is something small like 1.6, I probably won't update it. And I'm going to start off by just releasing the tier 3, then depth modification, then the next 3 tiers, then finally the rest of the MC changes. But some of the MC changes will be released throughout.
Holy **** this idea is crazy,as in awesome. I'd probably have to play with bobbing off, smooth lighting off and render distance tiny. How long will this take you to code?

It will take a long time to code. Also, I'm working on another, much smaller project at the same time, so this probably won't be released until after minecraft goes into a full release.
this looks awsome i hope it is compatibul with industrailcraft that would be great
have some dimonds :laugh.gif:
It probably won't be compatible with industrialcraft. It will add some similar things, or, with Alblaka's permission, include a version, possibly with new recipes.
I like everything I read in this, however it would be nice to have them as options as on or off. This isn't because I don't like the idea of any of these, but because I think I would like to pick-and-mix to get more gameplay out of it.
I could add a pick-and-mix sort of thing, given a bit more time. I'm going to make the first release before that though.
This mod is a pipe dream. If you have the time and talent to create a mod this in depth, you should make your own game and sell it. This will never be completed.

Making an entire game is still about 100 times easier than this. Most of what I have to do is already there, and the main things I have to make are the crafting grids, the 3D generation, the tier advancing system, and some modified forms of a power transfer system. The rest I can ask modders for and make anything else myself, as most of it will be there. And I think the difficulty changes will be separate, but designed to work together.
Well, I was thinking when I saw the part when it said SPACE.
I thought "Hey, why not make it so that there is no height limit so that planets will generate naturally"
Then I saw the poll...

well, the space idea i've been told is near 100% impossible to code unless you do something like the aether, then its possible but that was with godly coders.

Planets are going to be added to the 3d generation. You will be able to fly around (Slowly) while wearing a spacesuit in space. Reentering with only a spacesuit will result in death. Rockets will be used for fast movement. Rockets will be the only way to reenter without death.
i honestly don't expect this to be released. ever :tongue.gif:. Not to be a party pooper, but look at the Omni-Mod, it was going to revamp minecraft (even less then this) and they got 2 releases out with barely anything in them. So i mean if you can pull this off, that would be truely incredible, but altering the game this much is near impossible.
=satellite
=plasma energy (mined from the moon)
= silicon (smelt silicon ore from either Earth or the moon)
=quantum energy (smelted plasma energy)
=moon dust (guess where you get this)
and you get a particle collector satellite

Well, in the meantime, we can rejoice in the fact that there is finally a modern functional Height Mod for Minecraft 1.7.3 that works, and it uses the near-mythical 3D Chunks!! :biggrin.gif:
It gives Minecraft worlds a vertical space of 4096 blocks (-2048 to +2048). It can auto-convert your old vanilla map one chunk at a time as you play (slower) or you can use Robinton's World Save Converter to convert it all at once! You can even convert your world back to a vanilla world again if you want to go back! Heck, The converter converts in any direction between the following types of Worlds ( Cubic 4096 / Vanilla (128) / ymod 256 / ymod 512 / ymod 1024 ). Of course if you convert to a smaller vertical world you will lose anything outside of it's vertical boundaries.
This is still in development but currently works fine in SSP single player. He IS adding SMP but it might take a couple or so weeks to finish that. In the meantime, he also has access to the PhoenixTerrainMod source code (with permission), and is converting it's features to be compatible with Cubic Chunks Mod. He has even already released a test version of the merged mod with a small number of PTM features converted and working!
Another way you can check it out is to download nadine's " ModernCraft City " pack. She was able to convert her ymod "Little Big World" map into a Cubic map using that Map converter and updated the 128x texture pack & support mods for Minecraft beta 1.7.3 then renamed and rereleased it for everyone to enjoy with the Current version of Minecraft! Check it out and give her some appreciation in her thread. :wink.gif:
Well folks; it's easy to see that the Cubic Chunks mod will become the foundation of MANY projects and much FUN for the Minecraft community. :smile.gif: Maybe stop by Robinton's Mod thread and show him support too. :smile.gif:
[EDIT] btw: Robinton told me that the mod could potentially be upgraded to near infinite vertical space in the future, but he wants to finish with the other features for now. :smile.gif: SPACE!!!
In a very long time. Don't expect the first version for at least two months, probably more.
