Quintessential Creatures 2.0 is a revamp of the original Quintessential Creatures mod that was a collaborative effort between Firehazurd and DrZhark. This revamp will include as many designs from Firehazurd as possible, as well as designs from the community at large. It's goal is to be the premiere mob pack that the entire community can draw from. It is intended to expand the discovery and exploration aspect of Minecraft by providing wonders and benefits, as well as dangers, to exploring the vast world. Creatures will occupy certain biomes exclusively, and if you want to encounter a given creature, you will have to find it! This will be an ever expanding project, we don't plan to stop until we run out of good ideas, and we have many!

The tortoise can be somewhat tamed by feeding it flowers, in exchange for a free meal, the tortoise will gladly shoulder the burden of a chest, increasing your mobile inventory! Plus, they're cute as hell!
The troll is a terrible beast that comes out at night to hunt. It fears the sun, which turns the troll in to stone! Beware the rocks that it throws!
The fox is a fluffy and agile creature that makes a good companion.

The grove sprite is a mystical creature that thrives in the hearts of dense forests. It lives to spread trees, which it views as brethren. They are peaceful, but don't anger them. You've been warned!

Such a shame I have no idea how to install audiomod. (The instructions are... non-existent!)
So are Foxes just reskinned Wolves? Or will they attack Chickens automatically rather than Sheep as well?
First off you install audiomod just like any mod.
Secondly Foxes are not reskinned Wolves, they are completely their own creature, they started off like wolves but now they are completely different. The Fox alone has 413 lines of code in its Entity File (A lot).
Ah, great to see that you're still working on making your ideas a reality! Still, it would be awesome if at least one of your creatures made it as an actual part of the final game, but until then, they'll just be a brilliant mod of their own.
One question - since foxes are going to be included, will they simply overwrite the foxes in Mo' Creatures if one were to install both mods? Or will the QC fox be a separate 'type' of fox, with its own behavioural characteristics?
