the water is too safe, sirens would be great, their songs would make you look at them, and every so often turn and swim their way.
You could kill them after you get near, when they transform to half bird half women, and try to kill you.

Neat idea and yes, more water mobs should be added, however I think our list of mobs is getting to big. We might just have to cut some mobs out (maybe).

maybe a "gods heart, soul, or aura" an item dropped by demi gods that is used to enchant the items after crafting. it could activate there abilities, and in the crafting table it would suround them
= heart, soul, or aura
= any of the tools
Wow, that's really interesting. Maybe their blood? and each time you defeat them you gain 4. and 4 is just enough to 'enchant' a weapon.

^ Lava = Blood & Pig = Weapon
ie: Enchanting an axe will give you Hades' axe.
actually i was thinking that you would make the weapon of choice, like hades axe, but it would act like an iron axe, but when you combine it with the blood, it would act like it is meant to, not like the iron axe.

true, but what would the greek legends be without all the monsters?
but i do see your point.

Yeah, I just worry about having lag in game because of this mod.

Ah, I see so you make the weapon and for it to have the 'god-enchantments' you craft the god or goddess' blood around it?

I honestly fell in love with this idea! I got upset when I didnt find a download link! xD
I liked the idea of using Gods Blood/Heart/Soul/Essence to make the item act like its suppose to.. Or maybe use it for 1-10 charges? Hm..
I Also think we should change Hades Ax into Hades Helm, which would be a Dark Helmet, and grant the ability to travel to the Nether, or possibly turn invisable? This seems much more realistic then him having an ax.. and it appears that every other god has an ax for a drop..

this is the only axe drop, where are you getting "every other god has an ax for a drop"
Also, it's ancient Greece. What would Greece be without Bronze (and maybe 'blessed' bronze, as well as sets of the toher blessed armours/tools?!)
Anyways, I was thinking- Add Copper, Tin, and Bronze as well as blessed tools and armours.
Also, marble and perhaps Granite as ancient-themed building blocks, being craftable into different types- say, marble columns, granite columns; stairs, etc? Any ideas? like, dislike?
What would the uses be for copper, tin and bronze?
But yes I totally agree with adding marble, granite columns and stairs. Also maybe Monument? Like making different blocks a certain part which you have to piece together to make a statue of a god.
Monuments would be awesome. :tongue.gif:
Copper and tin would be crafted together to make a Bronze blank, which would then be smelted to make Bronze. Bronze could then be used to make your regular tools, armours, and weapons. Maybe even arrows!
Also, perhaps we could make Iron craftable with Coal to make Steel, and then make Bronze and Steel upgradable to God-tools (Blessed tools as a better name?) which have uber stats but only last a short time; very useful for armour and weapons but not so much for tools. Bronze and Steel would place just under Iron and Diamond, respectively, in terms of speed and durability.
-this post has been deleted. Someone said there was no point for me to read through my book and find out more gods. Aparently the book I was reading had greek and roman gods. -

Apollo is mainly the god of the sun. Poetry is a minor responsibility of his.
I guess we have our new banner^
Thank you very much :biggrin.gif:
hm, true but how would the sun be incorperated into minecraft? o:
I had to edit the image because it was too high :<

also it is supposed to be golden.
this is true, i completely forgot about that.
where do you see poetry?

Edit:Maybe the player can hold Medusa's head and when it looks at a creature it turns into stone?
