There's already a mod out for this, but I'd like to see clear glass added to the base game. Other blocks don't have a clearly defined outline, so I think there should be an option for glass to be a single connected pane. I understand that people walk into glass walls when they're clear like that. But it's also nice to be able to enjoy my view of the ocean or my garden from my balcony without getting rained on or a graph paper grid in the way.
You can use Optifine's connected textures feature to do this (this will still leave the "streaks" but you can edit the textures to remove them; I'm not sure how to change the default glass textures that Optifine comes with without opening its jar and changing them there but you can do that as long as you don't distributed the modified Optifine jar), or even just a resource pack which replaces the glass texture with an entirely transparent texture, although the lack of any border will make it hard to detect (connected textures will still show a border around the edges of a connected area of blocks); a resource pack is quite simple to make, the "assets" folder has the exact same structure as the one inside the game itself, found in .minecraft\versions\1.15.2.jar (or whatever version you are using, only the textures you are changing need to be included), and best of all, can be used on the latest version without having to wait for a mod to update.
Also, it is against the EULA to make money off of mods, at least not directly (other than donations (with no "benefits" like Optifine's capes, which are also not allowed, even for free) or ads) - so never accept any requests that ask for money in return:
Any Mods you create for the Game from scratch belong to you (including pre-run Mods and in-memory Mods) and you can do whatever you want with them, as long as you don't sell them for money / try to make money from them
Optifine will handle the connected textures just fine. If I had to choose between "some mod someone made for connected textures" and "Use Optifine", I'd use Optifine. It provides many other benefits as well.
This is a "stock" Optifine feature. I'm not clear at all why this isn't being used to solve the problem AND it is a mod being maintained through versions.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
