Hello guys! Just here to drop off an idea that I thought could be cool to see in Minecraft!
What is No Mine's Sky?
No Mine's Sky is basically a recreation of NMS in Minecraft. Procedurally generated planets and mobs in Minecraft. It would be similar to Galacticraft, another great mod, but more themed around exploration and survival in foreign environments.
How would this idea work?
Basically, there would be these "parts" of mobs that combined together to make a new mob every time a new planet is explored and the planets themselves would just be different dimensions that would be generated with random blocks (or maybe just recolored overworld blocks). I imagine that after a while, this would slow down computers quite a bit, so compression of these planet files would be needed as well.
Am I going to help?
Frankly, I cannot. I have no experience in coding, so starting off with such a big project would be more tedious than anything. I will help with figuring out ideas and solutions to possible problems, though. If you have any questions, drop them off in the thread and I'll answer them as soon as I am able!

Good luck and happy mod-making!
