I would like to give an ideia for a mod in minecraft, i've seen many mods that you can have magical effects, but some are too easy to get and some are too complicated, with recent modpacks like RLCraft becoming really popular i think the mod list lacks some sort of magic system that isnt too complicated and requiring lots of grinding like Ars Magic or too simple like Electroblob's wizardry.
My ideia is a magic system that is similar to the mod Skillable, you would get a window that you can expend your xp to get magical effects, and basically you could put a lot of schools of magic, and you could basically buy new magics in this window, it would be like a skill tree, but with magics.
i think it would be better not to have mana involved, i think it limits and makes the mod more complicated, instea i think the spells should have a rechard time with some sort of timer
Ideias for magics: elemental school:
Fire puch: any mob you punch gets on fire (and later on it could be upadted to swords and bows...)
wind punch: any mob you punch is knoked back a little
fire immunity: makes you immune to fire for some seconds (it could be upgraded until its always on)
water breathing: you can breath for some time and you can upgrade until it is forever
healing spells:
that you need to be expensive because it can break the game and make it boring if it is too fast, otherwise you become wolverine in 30 minutes of gameplay
invocation:
you become the protagonist of solo leveling, needs balacing
illusion:
invisibility, darkness, change appearence, make your nametag dissapear (for multiplayer), light...
teleportation spells...
this would give you the little tricks in the beggining of the game with some xp, and later on you could have super cool spells that gets better when you use your xp
