I would like to see a mod that adds some ores, there are some out there but there aren't what i am looking for, they are either too over-exaggerated and have no config files, so i can't remove ores I think are too absurd, I also made some assets for the mod and I'd like to have a vanilla-like ore mod that adds these ores (with a config file that makes the user able to disable or enable the ores, it's not necessary but it would be good):
-Copper (in terms of effectivness it is between stone and iron, it's more common than iron, but less common then coal, BONUS: maybe it could be used to make copper wires that you can place on wall and ceiling and have less power dropoff then redstone, this feature is not so important, but i would be happy to see it implemented in the mod)
-Tin (you cannot make tools out of it, but you can combine it with copper to make bronze, it's very common, but not as common as coal)
-Cast Iron (made out of iron and charcoal, used to make steel)
-Lead (This ore is as effective as bronze but is rare as gold, simple)
-Bronze (Made out of copper and tin, the tools made out of bronze are a little bit more effective then iron)
-Steel (Made by smetling Cast Iron, steel is better than iron and the tools made out of it are much more effective than iron)
-Silver (In terms or rarity, this ore is in between iron and gold, it can make tools as effective as iron ones, but a little bit durable than gold ones)
-Platinum (probably the best of the bunch, a little bit more rare then diamond but with bigger veins, the tools and weapons made out of platinum are better then diamond but the durability is lower, if a diamond pickaxe has around 1500 durability, platinum would have 1000)
I would be happy to finish all the assets so if someone wants to make this mod doesn't have to make sprites.
(If someone wants to make this mod I can give them more details about it contact me here or on discord, name: Hariq#0077)
I just don't like how over the top and (relatively) complicated it is, I like mods that fit well in the vanilla game, I mean, I don't think Mojang would ever add different crafting stations for ores and make all those fancy textures, I have someone working on my mod right now it's going to have nice vanilla-like gimmicks that are going to differentiate it from other mods out there, and even if no one will be interested in it I started this post for playing on my own, but I surely didn't start the topic without looking at other mods first.
The thing about Metallurgy is you can turn pretty much any part of the mod off. I turn off over half the ores when I play with it. I'm pretty sure you can turn off the extra machines too. You can even customize all of the ore vein properties for each ore individually.
With Minetweaker, you can even customize the recipes of all the ores you do use to be whatever you want.
It just seems like you're asking for something that already has been done time and time again. What you really should be requesting is a config file for Metallurgy that has everything you asked for in it and nothing more.

Assets i finished (contains some example files ripped from spartan weaponry, because i like the color of the ores in that mod): http://www.mediafire.com/file/wkzxy93d14otz99/assets_%28WIP%29.zip/file

What's wrong with Metallurgy? It has all of those ores, and is super configurable. You can even change the tool stats for each ore in the config.
