As the title stats. I have some ideas I'd love to see be implemented as a minecraft mod, unfortunately I lack the skills necessary to create such a mod. I have some coding experience and know how to add items, blocks, and recipes to minecraft, but my ideas far exceed that and comprehensive learning sources just don't exist. If anyone would be willing to help implement some of my ideas, let me know.
Concepts:
Lets say there are two branches of alchemy; Equivalent Exchange and Material Structuring. The first is relatively simple. Process resources into their base elements, and recombine those elements into any form you desire. This works much like how alchemy works in the popular anime Fullmetal Alchemist. To give you an example, take iron ore. You mine it, you deconstruct it (receiving trace elements such as silicon, potassium, aluminum, and iron), then reconstruct the trace elements into whatever form you choose, given that you have enough. There's a bit more to it, but those are the basics.
The second branch of alchemy (Material Structuring) takes this same concept, but pushes it to the extreme. Instead of simply breaking an object down to its trace elements, you break them at the atomic level, acquiring their protons, neutrons, and electrons, which you can then freely recombine into any element or object of your choosing. This process is meant to be very costly, both in power and in knowledge. This is the endgame goal.
These are just the core concepts. There are other additions I'd like to make, eg new combat mechanics/items, massive world dungeons, vast underground cavern systems/structures, worldgen, and maybe even a dimension or two. Anyway, I truly hope somebody out there is willing to work on something like this, as its an idea I have been toying with for years now.
