It'd be a simple mod, sort of like the wolf armor and storage mod. I think it'd be cool to have armored cats.
What would the benefits of a cat wearing armour be? If you just want it to be visual, you could proably find a texture pack.

They'd have more defense from the armor (if someone hits them less damage is done)
