This mod was inspired by Skyrim and it's alchemy system.
This mod replaces the old brewing system for a more realistic alchemy system. You first need to craft a book with nether wart and you get a Alchemist's Journal. This book will track all of the items you eaten and tell you what potion affect it obtains. This mod adds in tons of new items that you can eat and brew with. The brewing stand has been changed with it adding in two new slots above. How the new system works is you eat some items, if you find two items that both has the same potion affect you brew both items with awkward potions and nether wart and you get a new potion. If you combine two items differently you might discover a new potion affect. These new potion affects will allow you to brew stronger potions. This mod also adds new potion affects like:
True Shot:
Bows are twice as strong
Warrior:
Melee weapons are stronger.
Slice n Dice:
Melee Speed Increase
Rapid Archer:
Reload speed for bows increase
Miner's Luck:
Increase Ore Drop rate
Tracker Vision:
Allow you to see mobs through blocks.
Iron Skin:
Allow you to resist explosions from TNT and Creepers
Fishermen's Luck:
Increase chance to find rare loot while fishing
Dolphin Man:
Allow you to swim the oceans at fast speeds
Endermen Sickness:
Allows any mob or player to get randomly teleported as long as the affects is active.
Strongman:
Increase Knockback
Statue man:
Knockback Resistance
Gravity:
Allow the player to unable to jump
Lightweight:
Allow the player to have low gravity
Moonshine:
Increase the chance for mobs to spawn.
And there are many many more potions planned. You can also have redstone and glowstone use to increase these affects. There also some other items which upgrades the affects even more but are expensive.
So what do you guys think of this idea for a skyrim inspired brewing?
