So i've had this idea of an awsome mod, but i don't know much about writing java or whatever you guys use when writing mods, so hopefully i can pass the task to someone who actually know what they're doing.
I've recently played alot of CivCraft which is a gamemode online that makes the SMP experience more like Sid Meier's Civ games where you use resources to expand land, build buildings and advance in tech, which would unlock new buildings to be purcased and new weapons to be crafted. this is were i originaly got the idea. you could also use the questbook mod used in agrarian skies to pinpoint current tasks and what to do next.
imagine you starting in the stoneage, where you can't really mine all you want, and have to do X thing to move on to the next level. this would be kinda like Terrafirmacraft at start, but as you get more tech, more stuff becomes available for your team to craft.( like BC pipes, IC2 or TE machines,)
i've also played some of the cool game Factorio, that uses a kinda cool way to unlock more stuff. what it does is that it makes you craft phials that is fed into a machine using transport belts. this would be a kinda cool consept. (where you start by putting X thing in Machine X or researching materials and later automate theese processes and unlock more stuff)
Hope someone finds this interesting and that it helps some creators out. also PM me if you decide to do anything about it, cause i would love to test it and see the development!
