Mod name: modumetal
Mod Idea: based on the real super nanolaminated metal that is virtually indestructible:
-(this is not the real method to make it but it works for minecraft) you can make a machine to mix iron with coal to produce steel (or if is possible use steel from any other mod with help of ore dictionary) that can be nanolaminated by another machine with help of diamonds to make a modumetal ingot tha can be placed as a block
- you can make tools out of mdumetal that have a big amount of uses in same the machine that make the modumetal ( for example there will be better if they have a texture that is not a picaxe ro a drill but instead something special, i don't know)
-every modumetal ingot works like a block that can be placed and have a hardness value superior to obsidian if that is possible
So I've created a mixer block that can make steel out of iron and coal then so that steel is not simply another step I added steel tools, armor, and block. What I don't know is:
Can a mixer be used to make other things besides steel?
What does the machine that creates modumetal ingots from steel ingots look like/what is called/how do you create it?
What is the requirement for creating a modumetal ingot? (I would imagine you create some sort of laminate or nanolaminate -this is where diamonds or more expensive recipes could be involved- which is applied to either steel ingot or steel block or something by prior mentioned machine)
once one has modumetal ingots outside of creating basic tools and such it becomes more up to choice what they can do? These end-result recipes would not necessarily be realistic irl but something such as replacing a limb with a very expensive upgrade requiring modumetal ingots/nether stars/diamonds that would boost default stats. Those sort of non-default-minecraft upgrades. Any ideas/ would you be able to help do textures for the mod?
