Hi guys,
I am looking for a plugin for my server that enables people to ride in Iron Golems and use it, basically, as a walking tank. If you have ever played the Shotbow gamemode Wasted and seen the Mech, I want something almost exactly like that. Features that I would like included are:
1. Mech that can be player controlled
2. Mech that is AI controlled when a player is not in it and will shoot people on the opposite team
3. Multiple Mech classes (Rocket Launcher, Machine Gun, Plasma, ETC. [I will be using the plugin CrackShot for guns if that makes a difference])
4. Rechargeable shield (if possible)
5. Weakened back side, so that way they aren't too OP.
6. Falls from sky when called
7. 3 minute timer until it is unlocked that goes down 15 seconds for every kill.
8. Option to spawn in it if you are dead and have it unlocked.
I might be asking alot, but I feel like it will be amazing when it is done! I will be releasing this for free on the Bukkit website and on here, so if anyone would work on this, that would be amazing!

The idea is honestly a little too advanced for a Bukkit plugin, it'd be a better idea to make a whole new set of armour. Some of the ideas could be done purely with the Bukkit API, using the Iron Golem riding as a base, but the majority is a little too advanced for Bukkit, for instance, checking if it was hit on the back would be far better as a standalone Forge mod, rather than Bukkit. Shields would be better in a Forge mod, easier to work with. Correct me if I'm wrong, but AI like that is not possible, maybe very difficult to pull off without user interaction, using Bukkit. Really, it IS possible with Bukkit, but it would be FAR better off as a Forge mod.

Okay, I agree with what you said, but these were all just suggestions. I was not at all expecting most of these to end up in the plugin itself. I really just need the basic stuff, a mech that can fire guns and spawns after a limited time. I appreciate the feedback!

I'm just saying that a lot of these aren't possible with Bukkit. Bukkit is that sort of API that can really only interact with what's already in the game, ie you cannot add new items, blocks, entities, etc. So for the mech you would need to choose an Iron Golem or another mob you want to use and write some code up to make the player ride the entity, then from there add in the logic for the "mech". The guns would need to be done using arrows, so just spawning an arrow at the location of the player with a certain amount of velocity in the direction the player is facing will do, and the rest of the logic is like that. I'm just saying that for what it's worth, it'd be better to do this in Forge, although it is possible to pull this off in Bukkit.

Your idea right there is almost exactly what I want made, just an edited Iron Golem. If you have ever played Super Smash Mobs on Mineplex then you would know that when you choose the Iron Golem class, you don't see yourself as the Iron Golem but others do. Thats sort of what I want it to look like. Also, I already have a plugin for the guns, so that shouldn't be a problem.
Theres the link for the Bukkit Javadoc. Tell me when you find something that will allow me to switch the players mesh to an Iron Golem.
Look, I'm sorry if I offended you, but it's kinda frustrating when you clearly state something that you need done and everyone says that it can't be when I 've SEEN examples of it in Bukkit! I know it can be done!

Those are the two examples that are closest to what I want. I would ask for a copy of their plugin, but the odds of them giving it to me are very slim.
Lol dude you are asking way too much. All the stuff you want is possible but my oh my, it would take forever to code all of it. But i know what your talking about, ive played wasted ive seen their mechs. They're pretty cool i will admit, I understand why you would want them. Well guess what, i have actually just finished a plugin just like their mechs. Mine are the exact same almost(Mine uses crackshot guns and uses different particle effects when the mech has low health) otherwise mine have 600 health(600 exp levels), Can super jump(with exp bar cooldown), Mechs inventory is saved to the IronGolem(So who ever gets in the same irongolem has the same inventory,When you enter the Mech your inventory is saved(and when you exit its given back to you) Also my mechs are disguised using LibsDisguises(You control the mech disguised as a irongolem). Now this took me weeks to code, and im not just going to give it away. Maybe if you wanted to purchase my plugin we could come to a offer.

I dont think it would be worth making for bukkit, anyone that committed would make a proper Forge mod
