Make a gravity block...right-click it and it levitates until it hits another block, if placed on a ceilling,it changes its gravity to normal gravity, causing it to fall.

Use forge modloader, modloader syntax is ported straight into forge.

Here's two mods that I have been wanting for a while:
1) can you remove (or better completely remove the spawning rates of) ravines, severely decrease cave gen and fill all caves (air spaces between y=50 and y=20) with water? And also remove abandoned mine shafts. Sounds useless but its something that I have wanted for a while. And by decrease cave gen I mean that they should be very, very rare so as not to interrupt my mining.
2) just a fun one, flooded underwater shipwrecks with chests. Preferably a few different types, in deep water and partly dug into the seabed. They should have some holes in them but still be kind of recognizable.
For the first one I'm okay for base class edits but it must be at least compatible with fml and optifine and neither can interfere with forge mods.
Also, could you update your sponge mod to 1.5.1? That would be very helpful.

Hey! my friend had the idea of Redstone cables! the cables would be made by crafting lapislazuli around redstone! this cable would make the power go a few blocks farther and it would not be washed away by water. it will also go vertically!...So that means you could do things like bridges that come up out of water, more efficient auto-farms, and even make machines and redstone devices take up less space! this will make redstone easier to use! and for those of you who are wondering how the cable will be powered...well it will be able to be attached to switches, buttons, pressure plates, and torches! the cable will also come in varieties such as, repeater cable, comparator cable, and normal cable! If you like my idea then do make it...cause its a very good idea! Thanks for reading this and hope you like it!
1) It is not possible to make current "go farther" with the 4-bit metadata limitation
2) Vertical redstone exists in variousfashions already
3) I don't see how adding lapis to redstone makes it impervious to water, and in any case this alone isn't worth making the block.

Could you make a Locomotive entity that is crafted by using Redstone on the left & right of a Furnace Minecart atop a layer of Iron?
When placed, it faces the direction you are facing, so if you are facing North, the front of the Locomotive would be facing North.
When you place Minecarts behind it, it will automatically link to it, creating a real Train (max. 15 linked Minecarts).
When it is right-clicked with coal, it will puff out steam and wait 10 seconds before starting to move.
If it hits an Activator Rail (powered), it will stop and the coal burns out.
Duration of travel: 5 min/coal.
Edit: Tells everyone in a 10 block range that it is about to embark on its journey when fed w/ coal (if possible, I've never played around w/ mods much)

Not possible. Suffocation is specifically caused by occupying space in a solid (has a collision box), non-transparent block (not glass-like).
