I didn't see a rule against this, and I think this would be a good idea.
How about an external program that works like a Book & Quill, but saves the books you write in a txt file that can be seamlessly pasted into a Book? The txt files could be loaded into the editor and edited later. There could be formatting buttons which would automatically paste the § and letter into the file for bold, Italic, etc. Even better, make a kind of automatic paster/ page flipper so that you go to the first page of the book in Minecraft, position your mouse over the page turning button, and press a key that automatically prints the book, page by page. I can see a lot of use for this on large MMO style Minecraft servers. While it could be used for spamming, one would still need the materials for the book.
