My model is an empty cart. I do not know if the cart should hold people or items. If it should be like a minecart, I would be glad to model a storage cart (cart with chest) for you guys
1) Wheelbarrow -- The Wheelbarrow is a type of vehicle that can hold roughly 27 (3 rows (a small chest)) of items, and if you are next to it, and right click it, will attach to you, and can be pushed on flat grounds, and up half steps. This would allow you to roam more freely in the start of the game, and be able to move your items around. However, the down side is that you can only push one wheelbarrow at a time, and can only ascend half a block (only can climb up half steps (will not climb stairs, as they are too steep)). Requires the invention of the WHEEL.
2) Cart -- The Cart is a more advanced form of transportation, and can transport people (normal cart) and items (storage cart). Requires the invention of the WHEEL.
3) Cart Linking -- Cart Links are an essential item needed in order to utilize the potential of carts. By holding a cart link and right clicking 2 adjacent carts, one can link them together, allowing them to pull/push both at the same time! Pushing carts isn't effective, as the carts will start moving directly after contact, and controlling their direction is hard. Requires the invention of the WHEEL
4) Rope -- Rope is an essential part of evolution, and is an important item to the revolutionary minecrafter. Rope is stronger than string, and can do more tasks. Right clicking a Dog with rope will leash it. Right clicking the rope on a cart after that will tie the rope to the cart, allowing your dog to tow it. The Dog will take damage as it moves the cart, the more carts, the more damage, and the more dogs, the less damage, and damage will be distribted among them. You can also pull the carts yourself (consumes hunger instead of health this way). YOU NEED ROPE TO PULL CARTS! Requires THATCHING skills.
5) Horses -- Horses are a great bunch of animals, as they are stronger and more sturdier than other animals. They can be used to pull carts without getting damaged, and can be saddled and ridden, and be controlled by you. Feeding horses Apples will make them tame, and feeding them Golden Apples will make them stronger. Requires HORSEMANSHIP.
6) Carriage -- A Carriage is a more advanced version of the cart. Being 3x3x3 big, it can hold multiple people/mobs, and items too! Also, carriages can be tied using rope to saddled horses. Carriages can ride up 1 block tall ascends. Requires the invention of THE WHEEL, and HORSEMANSHIP.
What are the download instructions for the WIP mod? And is it MC 1.8.1 or 1.0.0? If it is 1.8.1, can you give me a clean minecraft.jar, because mine's already modded.

OK... I tried a new clean .minecraft folder, but I;m still missing the desk and the computer's GUI. The industrial workbench and research tree looks fine though.
But nevermind, I think I shouldn't bother you and let you work in peace :smile.gif:
This is an incredible, incredible idea. I would definitely download this, even just to use the desk and computer as an aesthetic block :tongue.gif:. If I can make some suggestions, what about different cars? Perhaps cars that run faster, but use more fuel. I also feel like it should be more expensive from what I'm imagining, maybe even just having to craft an extra part or two. And a question, would the cars take damage over time so that they would need to be periodically tuned up? That's something that could help to make the car balanced. Just a few ideas I'm throwing out there.

i like having cars take damage. smoke particles could come from them when they need to be repaired and fire particles when they're almost destroyed. then there could be a craftable wrench and when you hit vehicles with it they repair (like with tf2 engineers hitting stuff to repair them).
would you like to texture what we have so far? not much, but helco has put in the following:
desk
computer
industrial workbench
forge/industrial furnace
all the GUIs for each of those
there will also be a crap ton of research items but so far we only have the ideas of what we want. thanks for the help!
Email me here. You should get a reply within 3-5 years
If you think that its good enough, I can try exporting it to you.
