Solution: Run a local Bukkit server and connect to localhost. Put mcMMO in that. It works this way, as I tried it.
Yeah we could do that but then what about all our mods? many of us mincrafters play with mods to enhance our gameplay. Everyone can agree with me on this.
Try Edencraft, It's got McMMO and other plugins like Economy. it's lag free and it has a survival, creative and arcade world. Note: you need to apply before being able to build. (it protects the server from griefers)

I'm working with my team on a massive RPG mod that incorporates a skill system similar to McMMO. In fact, I'm using that plugin to help plan out the skill portion of the mod. ETA: Unknown (DON'T ASK! WE JUST STARTED).
I can't find a good non lag server with this plugin, so I was wondering if one of you amazong modders out there could make this for singleplayer?
It doesn't have to be exact, but I want it very similar.

i agree but if you want a nonlagg FUN server join minegaiden.com trust me ive been there since about 1- 1 1/2 years now fun
the problem is that ssp does not have the same code type as bukkit. bukkit has many more hooks that you would have to export to ssp, and cause many incompatibilities between this and other mods

I heard the modding API will have plugins as mods. So bukkit plugins will work on ssp. I also heard that people can join ur ssp world if u invite them...
You could just run a little server for yourself and treat it as single player, it wont have lagg for you unless you have a slow computer.... probably already been suggested but meh lol.
The difference between a plugin and a mod is a lot, it would basically have to be re written from scratch.
I doubt the new api will be anything like bukkits plugin system. So even then it will have to be re written.

My server has mcmmo (among other plugins like runecraft and towny) and is for the most part lag free (bout 95% lag free) go to screwj.com to register to join the server and this ip "MC.Screwj.com" to get to the server. we are not a whitelist server so you can explore the server without registering on our website but registration is free and is required to join and create towns via towny. feel free to stop by anytime and have a look around
Would love to see something like that, I use mcmmo on my own server and I've started playing single player again since The Zeppelin mod isn't ported to bukkit and I don't think it will even be ported to anything else than single player before its actually bug free or more stable (a load of work needs to be done to it but still its awesome) I was expecting a mod like mcmmo to be already there for single player but it seems its not the case.
