Hey, i saw a tiberium mod being made but... it was being made in SIMS format... dear god.
so i was hoping someone could possibly make a mod that adds tiberium.
WHAT IT WOULD ADD-
possibly a new biome. Tiberium leeches off the ground, which would make it impossible to farm near it, and impossible for grass to grow. Non-hostile mobs would stay away from it, and you would take damage near it. While holding it, you take a little bit of damage til you refine it, making it harmless. then it could be used as smelting fuel (liquid tiberium fuel) or as a solid in crafting.
Explosive meteorites would fall, rarely, seeding tiberium in non-wasteland biomes.
TIBERIUM WASTELAND BIOME-
no grass, tiberium leeches nutrients to grow. there would be several varieties-
Explosive blue, tough blue, regular green, and regular red
Trees would grow in erratic shapes with no leaves. the dry dirt often gives way to dead sandy areas. Thick, mosslike tiberium would choke the water, making you drown faster, dealing damage, and slowing movement.
Mutants like the tiberium floater and tiberian fiend would appear (i am currently in school, so no pictures as of yet)
Fleshy webs would appear over the ground, stemming from immense veinhole monsters. Enormous creatures that spew tiberium gas when threatened. tiberium gas is hightly flammable.
If a modder could do this, Nekro'd be mighty obliged :biggrin.gif:

Hello all. I'm also interested in making a Tiberium mod for Minecraft. I have some limited knowledge in java coding, so if anybody could point me in the direction of some mod guides/tutorials on how to set up code to function in Minecraft, that'd be great.

Can be mined by gold or tiberium pickaxes.
Tools made of mined tiberium have the durability of diamond and the effectiveness of rock.

Tiberium Ice - Behaves as Tiberium with the same traction as ice.

Tiberium Pod - All blocks within a small radius of the pod have their conversion rates increased by 100%.

Blossom Tree - All blocks within a large radius of the blossom tree have their conversion rates increased by 50%.

Blue Tiberium - 5% chance of being generated instead of regular Tiberium when Tiberium is succesfully converting a block.
Can be mined by gold or tiberium pickaxes.
Tools made of mined blue tiberium have half the durability of wood and double the effectiveness of diamond.

Red Tiberium - 0.01% chance of being generated instead of regular Tiberium upon successful T-conversion. If ignited, will explode violently. Can be mined by golden/tiberium pickaxes.
Red Tiberium + TNT = Tiberium Bomb.
Rarity due to T.Bomb production possibilities.

Liquid Tiberium - Tiberium generated by successful lava conversion. Does not burn. Flows at a speed between water and lava, up to [lava] length.
Liquid T + T Bomb = Liquid Tiberium Bomb.

Visceroid (MOB) - 50% chance of any animal standing on tiberium to be converted into this. Can otherwise only spawn on Tiberium at red-torch light (not above or below).
Neutral creature. Any living thing within a medium radius of it takes damage over time (leaves are destroyed, grass can die). When killed, it explodes, but rather than damaging blocks, converts them into Tiberium.

Tiberium Bomb - Deals moderate damage upon explosion and instantly converts any blocks in a small radius and any animal in a medium radius into Tiberium / Visceroids.

Liquid Tiberium Bomb - By itself: Deals massive damage in a fairly large radius.
If any Tiberium is affected by a Liquid Tiberium explosion, it acts as a relay and extends the explosion. Possible chain reactions by setting off a LTB in a large Tiberium field. Counts for explosion damage.

If a block is between a Tiberium block and a gold block/ore, its conversion chance is increased by 50%.
Also, a block's chances of converion is increased depending on how much Tiberium surrounds it.
ALL CONVERSION RATES BASED ON A JUDGING TIME OF 15 SECONDS

It'd make SMP more exciting if there were an omnipresent threat to your survival looming on the horizon...

Lava is raw Tiberium - green and glowing
Obsidian is asteroid fragments
Snow could be re-textured to Tiberium.. Tiberium balls + blocks. Then the entire winter biome becomes a red zone, 'course it won't hurt you.
* Use the Wild Grass mod and change some of the last stages of plant growth to Tiberium. Actually, if you could get the Wild Grass to..
a) only grow on snow

then you could replace snow with Tiberium veins (which would spread) and Tiberium (grass) then sprouts, slowly covering the world! Give the snow a nice crystal-crinkly sound too. But not sure if the Wild Grass block would replace the snow block. If it does then the Wild Grass would need to be harvest-able.
Replace Nether with Generic Alien World where Tiberium is more of a grass than a planet-gobbling disease, ergo, the entire ****ing environment is designed to kill your ass. Lots of good goodies to glean from.
Problem is the use of portals to get there... might remind people of C&C4....

One Tiberium is a cyrstil like thing (could make a new skin like thing for them {like a flower for the cystrals})
Tiberain is a plant like that has a pod for the bottom and a cyctral growth on top of it(also this forms a blossom tree where tiberium just has a tib vein)
Things you could use green tib [tiberain and tiberium have same propities] would grow at the speed of lava but can only go so far from a blossom tree/vein but once it hits another tree has a 40% chance of turning that into a blossom tree (like in cnc tib dawn) and would have a 70% chance of what ever block turning into tib
Blue tib-30% of forming from a mature tib feild could also plant blue tib at a location to grow a feild (70% sucessful planting [not in snow] ) blue tib could be alittle like tnt lighting with flint/steel or useing tnt would cause a chain reaction that would blow up the feild.. Blue would grow ever 2 days (keeping it pretty rare)
Red/orange would have a 2% chance of forming from green tib and 4%from blue. Red could be a useful building block or something idk..
Uses
Green-Could be mined with a iron or higher pick.
Could be smelted to bring a new form of block that would resisted tib growth and could be crafted into sticks(green tib rods) that would make a fence that would help with control the growth since tib would grow pretty fast and stuff would be needed to hold it back. and the rods could also be smelthed too to make liquid tib that can be put in a bucket and spread around or use as fuel [will write a thing about uses for liquid tib later]
Blue-could be crafted to make a tib catalyst bomb or something but must be mined with a diamond pick or green tib pick.
red-idk could be used to make a pick that would be better then diamond and a key compont in makeing a liquid tib bomb. also could be used to make a potion or something that will make it so you can live in a tib zone.. tib infusion?
Liquid tib could be used to make a bomb or put in a bucket to be able to seed areas with it (when used on a tree 100% chance of turning it into a blossom tree. Would turn areas into tib depending on what type of tib you used to make it. The bomb itself would dentotant all of the tiberain in a idk 1k by 1k block area and reseed thoses area with green tib.

I am currently making a tiberian mod, i can not say everything that will be in the mod because of thieves. but the mod will include:
New Biomes: Red Zones and Yellow Zones. a little insight, a Red Zone is an area that has been damaged so severely by tiberium that it can not support any non-mutated life. A Yellow Zone is an area that has been affected by tiberium but can still support life.
3 types of tiberium, with a growing system, so harvested tiberium will grow back and spread as long as the source is not destroyed
i have more to go along with all these things, when it is finished it will be a very massive mod.

i do like the idea of using cacti and cane as a way to make the tiberium grow in a realistic way, i might use something like that. and i will have a way for the tiberium to do damage. im going to have the "mother crystal" release a heavy deadly gas, what makes the gas deadlly is that it carries tiberium seeds, now the equivilent of breathing in this gas your self would be breathing in fiber-glass, which shreads your lungs by the way so dont do it. removing this gas would allow you to safely harvest the tiberium without severe injury, but that field would then be useless.
