Every time I go through the portal, it loads me into the Undergarden dimension but it doesn't render properly. All I see is black and white; I can make out trees and structures where it's TRYING to load but it never quite gets there. Anyone have a similar issue?
I haven't, I just downloaded and installed the most recent one (0.4.5) off of the Description page. Any advice on which ones I should try next (jump all the way down to the earliest version, try over other one on my way down, etc.)?
I might also mention that when I go back through the portal, it sometimes creates a new portal in the overworld (in the same general area). But yeah I can't hardly see anything except for the background where the trees and such are loading in.

And BTW, I finally got the chance to try the Abyss and I think it has a similar issue. As you can see in the screenshot, the sky is all white, even though it did a much better job of rendering everything around me (There are actually colors on the screen!) I waited for a few minutes, just to make sure it wasn't taking a bit to load in the background but no dice... Here is the latest log for that one in case you need it.
So I'm really hoping there's a setting or something I can change to clear this up. I'm not having these issues anywhere else. I've visited the Nether and the Bumblezone (from another mod) without any such problems, as best I could tell.
ETA: The Abyss mod is also creating other portals in the same general area when I enter/exit. So Idk.

Ok so both rendered better, though I'm not POSITIVE they're what they should look like. I think I'm in a large cave or something in the Undergarden (no sky visible yet) but it did load up everything so I could see and interact with objects. And the Abyss' sky is a dark green with no stars, moon or anything like that in sight.
Check your mods-folder for some other mods which changing the lighting or similar
I don't think any of them do, except maybe Dynamic Surroundings? But to my understanding all that adds is the northern lights in the regular overworld. And that dimension always looks great.
So do the screenshots I posted last look normal for those dimensions? Is the Abyss sky supposed to look different from that?
Also, should I try other shaders perhaps?
A side note: One issue I do have with the current setup in the overworld (maybe it's the shaders, Optifine, Idk) is that there is no moon at night. There's a sun during the day time and I can see it at sunset very clearly. But all night long all I see of the "moon" is a slighter brighter area. Only bringing that up because it might be another clue as to what's going on in the other dimensions. Thanks for your patience and attempts to help me solve this, BTW!

Are you familiar with how the sky is SUPPOSED to look in the Abyss? I did remove the Optifine file from my mods folder and that had the same effect as just turning the shader I have off. So would it do any good to try a different shader or is it that I just can't use them at all if I want this... relatively plain looking sky?
I'm pretty sure I've tried adjusting the brightness to see if that helps but I'll try again. Thanks again for your patience!

Did you test some different builds?

Backup your world before

Add the latest.log from your logs-folder
Maybe it is an issue in connection with another mod

Are there differences without Blame mod and hudcompass?
Doesn't seem to be. Here's the latest log after trying it without them.

I also attached a screenshot of what I'm seeing after going through the portal, in case that might help.

Do you use some shaders?
Are there differences without Optifine?
Yes, I'm using SEUS with Optifine. And do I just remove the OptiFine_1.16.5_HD_U_G7_MOD .jar file from the mods folder, to test it without that?
First you can test it with disabling the shaders

Dynamic Surroundings only add new sounds
The screens I think looks normal
You can check the Video Settings - there is an option to increase the brightness
Some or most shaders make the environment always a bit darker

Maybe the stars are missing - but if you check for screenshots there are images with and without stars
Ok then. I'm currently experimenting with other shaders, just in case. I guess we've run out of ideas, huh?
