This thread might sound dumb and all, you can ignore it if you want. But is it possible to play 1.16.4 mods (fabric) in 1.16.5 (fabric)?
Context / Why did I post:
I've been trying to find fabric mods that I would like to use in my single-player survival world in 1.16.5, but most of the mods that I would like to play with is only limited to the version of 1.16.4, so it seems impossible to implement it to my survival world. But how like the replay mod, which have "1.16.4" (shown in picture) in it's file name indicating that it is compatible with 1.16.4, playable in 1.16.5? Does that mean i can play any mods that has the "1.16.4" in its name in 1.16.5?
it depends, in the case of the Replay mod I'm not sure as it's a mod part of it's own website (that and I'm not as familiar with it compared to other Fabric mods), best to just test it out in both a 1.16.4 and 1.16.5 environment as then you can tell. When making a modpack or just out of curiosity it's a good idea to test what works and what doesn't rather than just focusing on the content each adds, as compatibility is important.
But for many listed on Curseforge for example you can tell by the version tags (some Mod Devs just guess/hope while some do test to see how compatible it is, depends on the creator) when you select a file to view the tags, (version, modloader, java version, etc.) and the changelog besides if the creator has the version number as part of the file name (before you download or in the downloaded jar file's name). Like for example with Fabric API you can see via this link: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/fabric-api/files/3183643
Many mods from 1.16.2 to 1.16.5 can work depending on the code in Fabric API or supported by Fabric Loader. As 1.16.4 was the last one I assume to have certain features (I don't know I'm just speculating), my guess would be 1.16.5 got just a few fixes and 1.16.4 & 1.16.5 mods commonly will work but as I don't know the inside of Fabric I can only assume as a player. I usually just put the jar files into a separate version and see if the game crashes or has issues, if that is the case then I know it's not supported and I should find another mod (or ask the creator for the intended version it was meant to be used for/report bugs) or use the version it is more so made for. Trial and Error is all a player can do to find out what works and what doesn't without understanding the code and even with understanding the code you can't always tell if it will play nice or not without testing.

Sorry if this is confusing

Hopefully that helps.
