I love a mod called wing by paul101 but it's made for 1.12.2, is there a mod that forces it to play in 1.16.5??
No - mods have to be updated to a newer version
The closest I know of is Winged (a Fabric mod) for 1.16.2 (unsure if works on 1.16.5 also) https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/zephyr or the Wings, Hooves, Unicorn mod for 1.16.4/1.16.5 for Forge https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/wings-horns-hooves-the-ultimate-unicorn-mod
otherwise I've mostly seen 1.8 or 1.12.2 have Wings mods.
