I have been trying to install some mods and it's not working at all. I have the correct forge file and everything was working fine up until now. I have 3 mods installed but it won't let me download any more. It's a fairy light mod, mr crayfish, and patty's more stuff. Please help!

Add the latest.log

You will find it in .minecraft/logs/

Use paste.ubuntu.com

How do I do that? I'm not sure where to find .log and why I should paste it in the site.

Press Windows-Key + R

Type

%appdata%

There you should find the .minecraft-folder

Go to logs and open the latest.log

log files have a lot of lines

Using paste.ubuntu.com keeps the log structure - also posts have a limited amount of word you can use

So just add the link of paste.ubuntu.com

Thank you for all of your help so far! I got to the latest log but it's just a bunch of gibberish and symbols. Also, once I plug it into the pastebin what do I do with it? I'm sorry for all of these questions but I'm clueless lol

Do not open a .gz file

There is a latest.log file

Scroll down or search for it

I take it back! I found something. It's a ton of text tho so there's a lot missing from it

Test it without Optifine

If it is working without it then downgrade Forge to this build:

https://files.minecraftforge.net/maven/net/minecraftforge/forge/1.16.4-35.0.1/forge-1.16.4-35.0.1-installer.jar

After installing it, make sure in your Launcher profile Forge build 35.0.1 is selected

Then test it with Optifine again

Even when I switched to the build and uninstalled opifine the new mods won't show up.
