I'm looking at setting up a dedicated server on my own PC for my kids to play the Crazy Craft mod pack together. They're both on laptops that run this pack reasonably well, but after an hour or so of playing together the host disconnects the other and then has to reload and reopen the world to LAN (which is a rather lengthy process on their machines).
I've looked up information about running a vanilla server in the background and that it should be fine, but this pack uses a LOT more resources than vanilla. Does anyone familiar with hosting this pack know what kind of CPU/RAM utilisation I'd be looking at (including how many cores/threads it can use)?
My specs are:
Ryzen 9 3900X
Radeon RX 5700 XT
32GB RAM
The world would also be running on an SSD
I'm hoping to be able to continue playing demanding games while running this.
