we're adding copper in the next update. So, next logical step is wireless communication. After that? computers. After that is rockets. I would like there to be a possibility for catastrophic failure if you mess up on the crafting. I don't want it to "explode" per say, just for it to not function. like, the computer will catch on fire if built wrong. the communication will just not function. The rockets will explode, not launch, not hold air, will not be able to turn. but I want it to require some material from the end for crafting the rockets. That way you get elytra in the process. I would also like to ask that you add some room for creativity. like, add a special crafting table for the rockets and computers for customization Or make them multiblock structures. Entirely Up to you. If possible, could you try and make it auto update?(if not possible, I understand.) I would also like to ask for electricity and electric appliances.(harvesters, furnaces, brighter lights, alarms, water pumps [liquid cooled pc?], and crafting table for the rocket.) If possible, make it for 1.16.x
Sounds interesting but I don't see it happening just like those that have asked in the past and many of the mods do a much better job and always will. Also I find realism would ruin the game, just like natural disasters (cough though Phantoms exist and a Bed/Command doesn't cut it), no control over it and being realistic uses it's charm. Like come on if we went realistic no Enderman or other creatures, other quirks the game has. I'd rather play other survival games if I wanted it more realistic. I do use a few tech mods that go realistic of course but the extent your after mods have done already or Redstone can do if you know how to use it. I know it's redirecting a bit but if really you want that then just use mods that add realism at that point, you can customise it an unlimited amount of ways. I do it all the time when I'm bored of the ones I'm using and have found more then the average modded player in the mainstream space after reviewing 3000s mods so far in 1.14 to 1.16.3 already (not all tech but a few I have and they were awesome, even better than the mainstream I've used for years).
Also with millions playing the major tech mods sure it makes sense but I think if Mojang implemented it would be so weak people wouldn't even care about it. Sure the Campfire is the new Rotten Flesh to Leather block, Blast Furnaces are used in Blast Furnace recipes or for Steel production, the Stonecutter for Chisel mods (Builders' Blocks I reviewed just today) but I don't see Mojang doing anything about content your suggesting. And besides Redstone people have automated so much like sorting systems, brewing potions, noteblocks for an alarm system I assume at some point and more so clearly it's possible and they want people to build it just like they want people to make Furniture with Stairs, Slabs and more. They I assume see it as giving content rather than the 'imagination and whatever you put into it' being lost for a 'we give you everything' design.
I enjoy my ore processing/gas making machines tech mods (Mekanism/Thermal Expansion for mainstream and others like Omega Craft and a few other niche ones) or trying Virtual Machine with Computers with the VMComputers mod but I don't really see the others happen. The complexity extent can be overwhelming, that and if Mojang's extent so far was the 1.14 blocks for Villagers and other possibilities I don't see them another updates with these features any time soon.
Also 1.16.4 is a bug fix update that was confirmed, 1.16.2 the small content update like a 1.4.6 with fireworks and enchanted books was for the 1.4 era like 1.4.2 was the update you'd be expecting so obviously that isn't happening. 1.17 is there focus right now, you'll have to make it a suggestion for 1.18 and even then they keep Redstone as the technical aspects of Minecraft besides the blocks we have that do smelting, crafting, brewing processing so I don't see it happening.
Also Mojang seems to want to keep the game very medieval or so and the Lighting Rod is very 'cool but bizarre inclusion for just not having wool/wood roofs when 1000s of blocks exist in the game'. I'd love to see it be expanded upon and Mod Devs will do the same like they did with Bess, the Blast Furnace, Campfire, Iron Nuggets and more.
Besides Redstone of course 'if' they announce that which if they don't would be a waste especially alongside the Wireless Redstone with the Sculk blocks (yet to test them in a mod I found and compare it to the snapshots when they come out and other wireless transport I've used in the past with other mods).
I don't agree with everything Mojang does or doesn't do which is why I use mods or datapacks to fill in gaps/expand upon areas left so expansion to like with Bees or remove features I hate/stay on a version sometimes but I do sometimes like that mods fill in the gaps, sure they are getting paid and own the game but I find the lack of features better then a ton of stuff I may not use because it's badly implemented, with mods I can choose from hundreds of approaches not just the mainstream 5 or so, and some of the niche 10 or 20 out there and I can remove them whenever I want, with content Mojang adds if I hate it I stay on a version and Bedrock players don't get that choice.
The community has always made better content then they have, some is good but with 10000s of creators out there and years of creations I've seen many of the things the community has made and Mojang can't match it, they do a good job but the community has them beat and the community makes the game more interesting. The Caves and Cliffs update is cool but just like with the Nether one I'm not excited, I hated the 1.7 update and still do I'll probably hate the Caves and Cliffs update, the Nether one I came around to but as I can ignore the Nether in some ways or with mods but the Overworld I hate biome mods so I don't like it to be messed with I'm going to have a tough time.
