Hey guys, i am playing on 1.16.1, i like it because of having everything from nether and ocean updates. So the mod sodium has appeared recently so i moved to fabric to use it (which I really like it because it enhance my fps a lot). Now I know that there are very good mods on Fabric which i am enjoying, but there are not many so I dont know if after a while I'll get bored for not getting new content. The question is, do you guys think that more forge moders will start to move to fabric? or is forge still going to be the king of mod loaders and I should go back to it.
Well that's a good idea, i can do that on different versions, i just hope that the mod Sodium is implemented on forge, or that more mods can be on both, because now im heavily modding minecraft, I deppend a lot on having sodium to increace my fps.
I use both for review and because I see appeal on either. I don't remember many performance mods on Forge but there probably is some as good as Sodium without the need to consider Optifine. I personally don't use any performance mods and I find I have a good enough experience (with an average computer, nothing amazing) but I also just use none to see how the game performs with my specs without any changes just encase.
Many Forge only modders and Fabric only modders have supported both or moved to Fabric. Forge will always be around though, it won't ever not exist, but it's nice to get a lightweight option or different mods on Fabric But it depends on the mods your after, for content, quality of life, performance and more.
I document and review mods on both daily (as you can see by my signature and threads that appear often) so I know what each offers and do find a reason to make modpacks across either with a good mix of things to get the best out of my modded experience with both of them.
I can recommend you mods if you want but otherwise I'd say look around on different sites and see what you can find and you might find some interesting mods for Fabric or Forge you haven't tried that do interest you or find a need to go to Forge and take a break from Fabric, or take a break from Minecraft and come back to see if there is more.
I'd say when 1.17 snapshots come about that there will be some new exciting stuff from Fabric as there is a ModFest with major ones coming out (there has been 3 so far I've only been around 1.15 and 1.16's Modfests) so who knows. Forge's Modjam for 1.15.2 was alright, some cool stuff but nothing I remember that well even having reviewed the modpack with them.
Depends on personal preference which to use more I prefer forge but that's only becouse my computer can handle pretty heavy modpacks if you prefer more of a vanilla plus experience I would use fabric but if you want heavy game changers I would recommend forge
Then there's the option of just switching between the two
I enjoy both modloaders equally don't get me wrong.
But do people still see it as a Vanilla+ modloader like Liteloader? I've always been curious as someone that uses both and makes modpacks with the big and small mods on both modloaders and reviews/posts mod updates for either so I know a lot about them.

Why not both? IMHO, Forge will always dominate MC modding. Fabric and the other APIs were created for 1.13/1.14 when Forge development was delayed.
You can play any version of MC you want. Just make sure to make separate Game Directory folders for each version.

@Shadow_Meme_boi
Obviously it's up to personal preference.
