Hey there! I was looking for some help on Tough as Nails which unfortunately has been discontinued at this time. I was hoping to find a way to apply the temperature modifier to other types of armor including armor in other mods (such as the camping mod's fur armor). Any tips on how to make this happen? Thanks for the help!
Hi, have you solved your problem? Or I may be able to assist you.
What you need to do is add the armor to a JSON-file; open your Minecraft-folder, if you don't know how to do that, press [windows-key] + [R], then type %appdata% in the dialog window and press enter, this will open explorer. Locate the ".minecraft" folder, and open .minecraft -> config -> toughasnails, there you'll find a file named "armor_temp_modifiers.json", open it with Notepad.
The file start with [ and end with ], and in between are the armor-sets enclosed in { }, and comma-separated. Just copy/paste and modify to fit your own armor-sets:
Names should be Namespaced ID as in toughasnails:wool_boots (modname : Itemname), I'm not sure whether it is case sensitive, but no spaces and no single quotes. You can read more here.
If you use The One Probe, Waila or JEI, they will show you the ID.

{
"names": [
"minecraft:leather_helmet",
"minecraft:leather_chestplate",
"minecraft:leather_leggings",
"minecraft:leather_boots"
],
"modifier": 1 (any integer +/-)
}
If you do not know the names of your armor, use a mod like "Just Enough Items" (JEI) to find the names.
I hope this will solve your problem.
Should the names be capitalized, spaces, and/or remove the ' from the name. I'm trying to configure fur armor from Mo' Creatures.

Hope it works.
