I used to use MultiMC in the past but since I last properly played it years ago things have changed and I wondered what in your opinion is the best Launcher so you can install mods and resource packs, etc.......
1.MultiMC (for anything, old version, new version, Forge, Fabric, Rift, Liteloader, Datapacks)
2.Twitch/Technic (for modpacks to create or cover in a spotlight video as I'm a mod spotlighter)
3.Vanilla (Good if I want snapshots, to use the game how it's intended and Forge, I don't have it installed currently due to a PC rebuild and as MultiMC's latest dev build has Forge support) The Vanilla launcher has it's benefits but I want to use it less and less due to making videos and how I cover content but it still has a been.
4.GDLauncher (good for Forge & Vanilla instances if you don't like the Vanilla launcher and good for importing modpacks, but not so good if you want command access even if you have cheats enabled, and if your not careful you can't use JEI to cheat items in with cheats enabled and in survival, but you can use cheats, JEI and Creative but still not commands I think, it's weird, no matter the instance by default this happens, so unless you don't use commands I recommend not using this, just use it for survival use)
Obviously FTB, AT and so on are good but I don't use them anymore if Twitch or Technic has what I'm looking for and MultiMC I can use if Twitch doesn't want to work or a Fabric modpack is only importable through MultiMC until it ends up on Curseforge so I can get it through Twitch.

The vanilla launcher really isn't bad. It's not much more difficult than the old MultiMC. Though I've heard good things about the Twitch launcher.
I prefer Twitch. Been using it since Curse beta.
