Love the pack, yet I would like to mellow it out a tad to make it more in line with my idea of survival minecraft. The random events and some of the other excesses just zap the fun out of the room.
So far:
I removed bloodmoon for the time being. I'll add it after people get a chance to find their feet; no point sending a newbie through that.
Tweaked First Aid so things like skeletons take at least 3 hits before they kill you... You can still break your legs just as easily, most times while trying to run away from some flying thing.
Edited the dragons so their stats are back to what the original mod intended.
Two things I can't find:
Removing events Which mod is doing this? Really, really stupid to log in and die before your client even get a chance to load because, let's' be random.
Eating vanilla food. This is mostly a cosmetic thing but if I grow and bake a potato and harvest and cook a steak, I wanna eat it.
I also need to look at the configs for the other monsters to make sure they are default and not some f* you setting. Other than that if there is anything else you think is excessive I probably haven't seen it, so please let me know.
