I know that originally Forge and Optifine in 1.14 were not compatible with each other. You had to use one or the other. I've also heard that now there are compatible versions available. You might have to do some research to verify this and make sure you have the correct versions that will work together.
Currently I'm playing Minecraft 1.14.4 vanilla. I want to try OptiFine to see if it can boost my FPS.
I have downloadet OptiFine_1.14.4_HD_U_F3.jar from https://optifine.net/downloads
When I click the OptiFine jar file to install, the file opens in a blank white java window and immediately closes again (see image).
I have tried several things:
Reinstalling java with offline installer.
Open with right click, "Open with Java(TM) Platform SE binary.
Tried jarfix.
Run through CMD as Administrator both with installed Java and Java included in Minecraft.
Reinstall minecraft.
Restart PC.
I can't think of anything else. Any Ideas or anyone who know how to install OptiFine manually? (copy / paste files into 1.14.4.jar)?
EDIT:
I fixed it myself. Apparently I did not have java 32 bit installed. After that I forced optifine to run using java 32 bit, and I could install it.

I do not use Forge.
Do you happen to know where I can download Optifine for standalone vanilla?
