I also added this link above under the '2.Fabric Wiki, Fabric Modloader Install Instructions/Download, Visual Studio Code with Fabric' section of the spoilers and added the 'Modpacks/MCUpdater support' to that title of the section.
I'd say this is more for Servers/Server Admins or Modpack makers, while it could be for players it feels and looks like at least that its not. If people that know how MCUpdater and otherwise situation works, then go for it, if not give it a go if you want but it might not be for you, or it might, I don't know for sure.
Image below captured from Fabric discord under the 'announcements' section. Which is also where I got the link for above from.
The portion which considers end users/players is the brief note at the beginning of the wiki page on installing MCUpdater and adding/updating/launching modpacks from within it. It could use some graphical fanciness like screenshots, though. The rest, indeed, is more of a concern for server administrators and modpack developers.

I see, thanks for clarifying that. Wasn't sure. I read through bits and pieces of the wiki page and the MCUpdater page and got a brief idea, but your explanation does make that clearer, thanks.

Fabric isn't loading any mods on a server, but it's acknowledging them. I'm not sure if I'm doing anything wrong but I followed everything correctly on your server installing page. I'll send any information if you tell me what you need. I'm fairly new to server hosting as a whole as well.
I'm unfortunately not very well informed about how servers work honestly, if you want to get it solved/be pointed in the right direction of how to go about doing this, try going by the Fabric discord, I'm open to giving the link to it if you can hopefully get your question answered over there. I hope the link works, I just got it from the #welcome that seems like the 'invite' link to the discord server the Fabric team has.
Since I don't know if Fabric has another section like for reddit or other sources to respond to compared to the discord server they have, hence why I created this thread for questions and information.
Just make your way to the #help section from the list of sections they have and your sure to get it answered fairly soon, many are around to respond.
Fabric category? No Rift Category Icon? Why Curse? Explain?
Also I noticed that the categories icons has a Fabric one... Why no Rift one once 1.13 Forge comes around and makes it awkward to tell the difference between Rift, 1.13 Forge or 1.13 Liteloader maybe? Really Curse? While Fabric is the only thing for 1.14 snapshots it makes sense but Rift and other modloaders could get messy I feel. Sigh. Whatever I guess.
Not adding to modlist just yet, since its very early and it's not on Curseforge but I don't know if it's supposed to be yet, and it's also for mod developers only anyways. But for the sake of it being related to Fabric for those interested, or just acknowledgement really of mod possibility to come, take a look if you want.
I tried Fabric API 0.1.4 Build 71 as well as a new Fabric Modloader Instance with 19w20a and got nothing other than Fabric installed I think working... So hold off I'd say until mods are ready, I had no mod conflicts or crashes, but no mods seemed to be acknowledged from the very few I tested in this instance. (Fabric API, BiomeInfo, Mod Menu and REI, all latest versions I think too). But then I think this logic is sort of obvious with each snapshot Fabric comes out for to 'consider' at least if they don't appear to work/acknowledge in game. As it can be possible to have mods work forward, but its best to wait a bit just encase for those built for 19w02a right now I'd say.
Ok, for MultiMC those were my results, but for Vanilla it works fine. Go with Vanilla I guess for now? Maybe I just set it up incorrectly that way which makes a lot more sense as to why I stuffed up the MultiMC one, I keep doing that somehow Sigh. XD
Also a random thought popped into my head to test. 19w20a has a new loading screen, so I thought, why not test 'Loading Spice' along with it and nope. No luck. Just crashes the game on start up of Minecraft, doesn't even reach the title screen. It will be worked out, Loading Spice 'probably' isn't ready for 19w20a, or maybe just that Fabric build (71) publicly anyways compared to 18w50a, but I thought it would be interesting to see both at once. I don't know for sure though. Just thinking up things is all right now.
Either way, testing more mod compat as I go, yes Fabric API versions prior (within reason) do work, so 18w50a has worked for me for Fabric API versions (even though only tested 1.3.68 so...).
