So I wanted to create a small software which either contains or downloads a set of mods, installs them and configure them.
I want to share the software with firends through Discord so that everyone can get online without sitting for an hour installing and configuring themselves.
I remember from "the old days" that mod creators didn't really approve of this, they don't get the credit or the "download clicks" they deserve.
I don't wanna do anything to **** off good mod creators, so I wanted to ask if there is any way this is possible to do? Am I "allowed"? Do I need to contact the creators? Any way at all this can be done at all?

The simplest way to do this would probably be a self extracting archive. Maybe look into 7-Zip, but the configuration will probably still need to be done manually.
