One of the players on a modded server I help maintain reported that she had some issues so I checked the server and found a crash report. I'm not exactly sure which mod(s) caused it so could someone help me or at least give me an idea of which mod I should post to?
Yes I can place a cactus on a BOP grass block, did it in a brushlands and it crashed the server 6 times right after I tried. Although the player who first told me about it was only running/boating around exploring, looking for a grove or some other biome to build in.
Yeah that's going to be a bit of a problem then. The server is hosted through Nitrado and the Forge v.14.21.1.2387 is the most recent that it does a build for. Is there a way to force the 2443 Forge to run in this type of situation?
That's ok, I figured it out. But thanks for the other advice.
For anyone else who has a server host that isn't fully updated or just can't figure out how to force your minecraft server to a different version of Forge, here's what worked for me. Again this was on the Nitrado hosting service but it should be similar for others.
1. Download the version of Forge with the Installer-Win.exe file and ran as Administrator.
2. Clicked the "Install Server" option and picked a temp folder somewhere I could find it easily. It creates 2 .jar files and a Libraries folder.
3. I renamed the smaller .jar to minecraft_server.jar (it usually has "universal" in the name).
4. Shut down my server.
5. I connected to my server with an FTP program and copied the existing Libraries folder, minecraft_server.jar and minecraft_server.1.12.jar files to my hard drive for just in case.
6. Then I removed them from the server host and uploaded the ones I created in step 2 onto the server.
7. Restarted the server and waited 5 minutes for everything to load and then fired up Minecraft, entered the server and ran around the map for 20 minutes. I checked the logs a few times to make sure there weren't any more errors.

Here's the crash log on pastebin since it's rather lengthy.
I've seen the "Exception ticking world" error show up in server logs quite a few times.
