Alright, so I know that with shaders are very intensive and not what minecraft was built for. It takes high-end specs to maintain it with good fps, and I think that my GPU can handle it. I have a MSI GTX 970 as a graphics card and 16GB RAM, and so I thought I could handle shaders. I have pictures of my fps with 4GB of RAM allocated into minecraft and a 12 chunk render distance. My results are 375 fps with only GLSL shaders installed, but only fps ranging from 15-20 with Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders installed. Is this normal? I remember even my old computer with a GT 630 being able to run it at somewhere around this range, and I always had 350+ FPS without shaders and I find it a bit hard to believe that it can drop so much. Is this normal? Please tell me if something is horribly wrong, or if a GTX 970 really just can't handle it. I even tried allocating as much as 8GB into minecraft and it still gave me the same results, so is it just my graphics card not being strong enough? If you can give an explanation for this, please do.
I have a problem with seus where torches and other light sources don't cast shadows. For some reason the sun is the only light source that casts shadows. What am I doing wrong?

i don't think so when i tried SEUS i only had a drop of 60% (LOL)
try other shaderpacks or another shader loader
