Ok, I did both those things. No change. I even updated to 1.11 and am now using the recommended version of Forge for 1.11 and no change. I did notice however that some resourcepacks don't have this issue.

Can somebody please help me figure this out? The pack works fine in Vanilla and in Optifine. When I load it in Forge, with or without Optifine, I get these purple textures.

I figured it out. The problem was with Forge. Forge doesn't load blockstates properly. Any resourcepack that has blockstates will have purple textures. I've deleted my blockstates folder in my resourcepack for now until Forge fixes the problem. My resourcepack is much more usable now.

As of the day that I am posting this I am running the latest version of Optifine and Forge.
EDIT: Not latest. I mean recommended. Sorry.
Vanilla textures work fine. But random textures in any resourcepack are checkered purple and black.
RE-EDIT: Click HERE to read how I fixed this issue.

1. Make sure your graphics drivers are updated
2. Use another resource pack

Make sure your resourcepack is for your current version of Minecraft.
lately it seems either a resource pack does not work well with optifine or a mod is in conflict with optifine.
I know that BDcraft does in fact work with optifine. though you would need to head to there website to pick up the pack.
Works absolutely fine with Optifine. As soon as I load it in Forge I get purple textures. Even without Optifine.
