Why couldn't you simply help the original creators and download it from them instead of supporting a bunch of plaigarizing retards who cannot make their own mods and therefore repost other's and claim it as their own? As a mod creator who has had one of their mods reposted I find the fact that you are supporting these reposters very unfair and bad. Just download it from the original creators.
I only wanted to help permot good sites and get those who mod all the credit they richly deserve and to add a bit of info that I thought would be helpful in the quest for the best mods

The original creators only(usually) put ONE download link, which could go down. That happened to me once, and minecraft6 had the mod. Bam, saved.
Honestly I just don't want minecraft6 and minecraft-forum down, I use those websites a lot. They don't even use adfly, so they aren't stealing money...

Skydaz doesn't count because the installers they make have adf.ly links that support the creator and not themselves. Plus, they include a link to the original thread on minecraftforum.net. money-stealing 5-year-olds that call themselves "hackers" when there just idiots using injectors wouldn't do that.

I am surprised on how many sites are listed that re-post other people's stuff! Not only mods, but texture packs as well. One of these sites on that list, and it is listed as I can see, is the reason why I lost my first major Minecraft city project, Saraguta City.
I learned my mistake, I would recommend the same for others, don't download off these random sites that just post people's mods for no reason.

Just because they don't use adfly that doesn't mean they're not stealing money, they make money from ads

It isn't about making money, it is about reposing other people's work and posting it on a site that also can contain malware and stuff! Besides, I would never download any Mod or Resource pack of any other site except Minecraft Forums, PMC or Curse! Sometimes I would have to go to extend to the Japanese Minecraft forums for some mods, but no where else!
Virtually, by downloading something that belongs to someone, you're gonna give them credit for there work. But how can you do that when you're downloading from some other site?

You can't make money from ads if the ads doesn't show up because of someone using Adblock!
Besides, if you just download mods from these sites, then you're obviously giving them the right idea that it is the right thing to do, and are taking the credit away from the owners of the mods that put all their hard work into making the mod in the first place!
I completely agree with you.
Check out my PvP map Here!
Check out my website Here!Website is down until further notice. To get these links to work you do have to copy them and then paste them into the address bar but otherwise all seem to be good resources for mods.
http://minecraft.curseforge.com/ this is a good one and has a serch feature and does have mods for 10.1.2 which is the latest MC version
https://mods.io/mods?minecraft=1.10.2 also a good source with a search option and has mods for the latest version
http://modlist.mcf.li/version this seems to be a good resource for 1.9 or older and doesnt have a search option

You should probably be telling the creator of the mod that their downloadlink doesn't work.
Who knows if they'll actually see the post?
How do you do.

Ads, not viruses. Just get an adblocker. I have used both of them myself, and they don't send you to adfly links.
I trust:
minecraft-forum,
mod-minecraft,
9minecraft,
minecraft6,
curse,
github(the best),
and the original authors.
All of these DO NOT have annoying adfly links.
The other ones are all lies, viruses, and they lie about versions.
You can't spend 5 seconds of your time to thank and repay the creators, who spent hours upon hours making that mod? That's kinda sad.
I said AND the original creators. And are you going to tell 30,000+ people they are sad?

"Aint everything 'bout money?"
Well, everything is, but everything isn't. It all depends!

Contradict much.
