Forge is separated on two parts : FML and Forge. 1.8 FML is out.
I'm starting to update my mod, but 20% of code can't be updated, because forge 1.8 didn't come out yet.
When it will come out it would take less of time to update for those, who started already.
I don't need buggy forge: minecraft will just crash.
Currently without forge i can't even test my mod (i updated it with fml) because creation of tool materials (and Configuration, Biomes Registration, Dimensions Registration ...) is part of forge.

I wouldn't recommend updating if only FML is updated, besides, FML probably is only out as a pre-pre-alpha release, so things might change.

the main problem is the rendering of worlds and block models and stuff like that, not like 1.7, but still pretty large
It actually is really big, as big as if not bigger than 1.7 in some ways. Look at most of the mods, most mods include some sort of custom rendering, which the 1.8 update will break.
I read on Skyboy's Twitter that the MFR cables apparently take 50 gigs of JSON to render, because of how complex they are. 50 gigs versus a 17 kilobyte Wavefront OBJ model, I'd opt for the latter.

And everybody rejoices! I'm really bummed out due to this since all mods will move onto 1.8 with its hideous bunnies and intense lag..

I looked at the forge website and it didn't mention anything about forge 1.8. It's still on 1.7.10. Mods are not going to update until they know LexManos updates forge.

Where did you get this anyway?
Your concerns have already been addressed. Minecraft Forge, and the Forge Mod Loader are two separate projects, and while Minecraft Forge requires FML to work properly, FML can exist without forge, and as far as I have seen, every version can be downloaded independently from forge. Why would anyone want to use FML if forge is not available? There are tons of things you can do with the events and utilities provided by FML, such as adding new items and blocks, along with doing some basic events like tick events and networking events, among other things. FML is released for 1.8 and can be installed in your workspace or used with the official Minecraft launcher. As for how this information is known, FML for 1.8 is available on the official file repository for the forge project, and can be downloaded and used. Given that these are very early releases of both projects, no form of announcement is needed, I would actually be surprised if Lex made a huge public announcement for these early builds as many users (and as it would seem developers) don't know the difference between FML and Minecraft Forge.
Ha, it already did, but the only mod I know to be updated to it is Crayfish's Furniture, and it doesn't really work well, when you right click the mod stuff it doesn't work, and some textures are messed up. It's just a development version of forge.

You don't like reading other posts do you? That is not Forge. That is FML, or ForgeModLoader, it is the portion of Forge which actually loads the mods and provides base hooks like being able to add blocks, items, recipes, etc to the game. It provides most of the registries, it provides a very ambiguous event for intercepting and handling tick events. Most mods cannot function solely on FML because they rely on things that Forge provides.
Forge has the Ore Dictionary, the ForgeDirection system, the fluid API, pretty much all of the events (bar those tick events, which are very ambiguous), most of the hooks. Without Forge, no bigger mods can survive without base edits.
For the last time, and for the love of god others read this, FML is not Forge. FML is out for 1.8 under very pre alpha, Forge is not. End of story.

No it hasn't yet. These are pre versions. Full 1.8.1 has yet to be released I thought.
edit: Lol and in 3 hours since I posted this first, it has come out. Well lex did say he'd be releasing full forge beta some time after 1.8.1 dropped so another few weeks probably.
Or a general experience of "still no mods whatsoever" since it's an incomplete beta. Forge 1.8, as is, is pretty much not usable for releasing mods. It's a preview for mod makers so they can start work.
There is a website I go to so I can find 1.7.10 mods. They have added a 1.8 section and some of the mods reassure you they are compatible with Forge Early-beta.
And when you click on some of them, you get messages like this from the authors:
Forge for 1.8 is in early beta. Expect crashes and corrupt save files.
VERY EARLY VERSION. DO NOT USE ANYWHERE IMPORTANT. WILL LIKELY CRASH OR CORRUPT WORLDS.
I'd be surprised if the modmakers did not actually take a look at 1.8 and start updating, especially with smaller mods. They may even encourage testing in some cases, assuming that the end user they're releasing it for knows to load only one mod, for testing purposes only, if they've already had semi-stable forge beta experience, on test worlds and so on.
It is not and will not be released for actual gameplay for a while, don't feed the trolls.

IT'S NOT FORGE FOR HEAVEN SAKES! THERE IS A DIFFERENCE! My guess is that Forge will be out for 1.8 in another update after 1.8.1.
The End.
Just to let you know it is at early beta. You may expect some crashes and some bugs.
