sorry if I don't really understand what you're trying to say but if you're talking about rune proc it still makes runes activate multiple times and makes chain jump more. But other than that I don't think rune proc does much more...
Not sure if this is the right place for this, but does anyone know why only one component will activate when 2 are in a spell? For example, Self, Heal, Regenerate will Heal but not Regen, and Regen then Heal will Regen but not Heal. This happens on my server and on SP and I am running AM2_1.2.0.022.
To the people looking for a good lightning storm spell, here it is:
Name: Apocalypse
Shapes: Projectile-Wall-Wall-AoE
Spell Components: Storm
This causes, on contact with any entity, the initial wall to generate more walls, and THOSE walls, on contact with said entity, to cast Storm. Replacing Projectile with a third Wall improves this, at the cost of range and possibly sanity. Add Entangle to the spell components to keep mobs in the wall for more lightning, but at a higher cost.
Personally, I just trap them in a hole first or use my Beam-Entangle spell (Paralytic Curse).
In the latest version for 1.6.4, this spell (without Entangle) costs only 30 Mana per cast. I'd imagine Beam would be even lower, but don't use it too much. It's extremely powerful, but also very laggy with too many bolts. 12 quick casts in a row on a single mob brought my computer to a near-standstill. Although it can't be used in the Nether or underground. Haven't tested it in the End yet, I'll be doing that later tonight.

Another spell, that didn't quite work as intended, is this one:
Name: Farore's Maelstrom
Shape: Projectile-Chain-AoE
Components: Fling, Velocity Added x3
Relatively cheap, being able to be cast several times at level 14, this spell sends most mobs about 40 blocks into the air, with a rather solid reunion with the ground afterwards. Oddly enough, if the projectile does not hit a target, it rebounds and hits the caster, no matter how far away it is. No idea why it does this. Works beautifully on just about everything.

I have a spell! It is called In-A-Flash. Didn't know what to call it so i decided on that. the spell kills most mobs in one shot in a a short period. even when slimes split they get owned too. only guardians can resist it. To my knowledge only the fire guardian can resist more than 2 shots. the spell compnants are =
Yes you will have to have around 12,000 mana to cast one spell. and if the compnants dont fit on the bar put the rest on the end and it will be in the spell but outside the GUI.
P.S:Dont spam it if you dont have the best computer (like me) it will lag u out

Thanks for the spells guys but i can't edit the original post properly right now without messing a lot of the data up (hyper glitchy editor). I'll try to add them as soon as possible =
It do an wave and after this will come like 20 stars from the sky good for killing everything i tested it and it does 78 damage in an large area the problem is the high cost

Dang! You stole mine. Mine was:
Name: "Procfest: Apocalypse"
Shape: wall-wall-wall-wall (4th wall should only be used on veryhigh end PCs)
Spell: Channel-Storm
An exponential spell. If it is cast on a still mob, after a few seconds two things will happen. One, the surface of the world will be scoured clean in a burst of lightning blocking out the sun, and two, minecraft will die due to having around 484 storm spells all going at once (or around 10,648 if four walls are used in the shape). There are enough lightning bolts that you can't see through them. The best part? It only cost 15 mana in 1.7.10.
Warning: effect scales with number of Catalyst mobs.
Tip: Use deep underground.
That lightning spell you came up with is amazing, but nearly killed my laptop lol. I found that it works better if you use the following Shape: Zone-Zone-Channel. A third or fourth zone summons WAY too many bolts, and this way, it doesn't need a target to activate. Walls need a target, Zones don't. Sort of a trade-off for Walls activating MUCH faster than Zones.
Also, for a devastating area spell, add two or three zone shapes, and Random Teleport anywhere in the spell components. I won't spoil what it's like but...it's amazing. Do it. :3
EDIT: Fun little bit, I used the lightning spell (with Zones) on a server about 8 times casted at once, and someone a couple of chunks over said that all he could see was a section of the world turning pure white c:
Hi guys! I have an Ars Magica question for you all!
I was reading through the web serial Worm, and was intrigues by one the characters powers, and wondered if I could replicate it with Ars Magica.
The character in question can create zones that endlessly loop in time, locking people inside.
Could you use zone-chronoanchor or channel-chronoanchor to achieve this?
Thanks!
By my knowledge, there is no 'normal' zone spell combination that can endlessly trap someone inside without having the caster repeatedly casting the spell.
I said 'normal zone spell' because as a mapper, i know that some items from mods contain additional data within it. This means that, within the spell item there may be some data that you can change regarding the combinations in the spell, therefor bypassing all the modifier limitations and what-not.
In conclusion: No, there is no 'normal' spell combination that can do this.

(I'm actually interested in this idea :). I'll try researching it myself to see if it's possible.)
Thanks! I've been doing some research of my own, and after trying to make zones self duplicating, I've decided that it might be a lot easier to just make the fields trap someone for a while rather then forever. I might have a look at root, but I haven't got that yet (I'm trying to research everything legit).
you could try to do a root with a x3 duration on it and see if that keeps them for a wile but as for activating when thay enteer you would need some sort if auto caster which can be achieved far into the game.
you should also add Projectile, Leap, Gravity, and then cast Zone, Duration 2x, Gravity 3x, AoE, Dig under the person for certain death but if anyone knows how to make them one spell and work TELL ME!
also if anyone knows how to teleport players and mobs i would like to know
Some of the spells on the OP are missing. Just thought I should let you know. Icarus Plummet, for example.
Yes, yes I am aware of that. The forums editor doesn't seem to be working correctly and i haven't been able to add any new spells since then because they usually delete another section of the page :/
This is the main reason why I haven't added any spells to the page recently (other than a lack of motivation problem).
I am still answering questions about spells though.

i have a question on how to make a spell with the setup on 1.7.10. im trying to make a spell that will dig out a long tunnel that's at least a 3X3 in a single cast. i have most of the occulus unlocked. i currently have a zone projectile dig spell that is effective ( especially when i spam it and it sounds like a machine gun) but not the level of devastation im looking for. i tried making a wall-beam-aoe-duration-dig but it accomplished absolutely nothing and i cant find any tutorials for advanced spell making like this on youtube. any help on creating a seriously op dig spell
It also augments other stuff, but I forgot what.
Does this still work in the newer versions?
