I successfully installed Minecraft Forge and MCA. I put the mca folded under mods, and it's not working. What do I have to do?! I've been trying to get this mod for at least a year. Did I miss a step?

try to not bothered by installing MCA mod by yourself
it might be alot easier to just playing a modpack that has Minecraft Comes Alive included such as my modpack
see it yourself please... it was there on my banner you can click
While I'm sure the intent of the previous posters was good, telling the OP to install a mod pack which may contain number of other mods that they may not want is not the answer. Especially when the link to said suggested mod pack brings you to a blog that from what I've seen makes no mention of it.
OP, I'll do what I can to help you get MCA running. First off, what exactly is the problem with MCA? Does it cause the game to crash, or will it not show up on the mods list in-game?
Let's start by checking the versions for everything to make sure they match up. I am going to assume you are running Minecraft 1.6.4(please correct me if I am wrong), and as such you should have Forge build 944 installed, along with MCA v3.5.4. Also, are you running a PC or a Mac? It doesn't make much difference in the install process, though there are a few differences in the file names/locations between platforms.
It was the Minecraft Forge. It keeps crashing. Can't even get past the Mojang screen.
Have you updated Forge to build 944? If not, please do so. If you use the installer provided by Forge, it will automatically install the update as well as updating the version the Forge profile in your launcher uses. Once that is done, remove any mods you have installed and launch mine craft with only Forge to make sure it runs.
Could you also post the last crash report you have, using spoiler tags?:
I don't know what it is now. I deleted MCA and launched Minecraft on Forge and it worked but it won't work with the mod. I also have the latest Minecraft Forge. I downloaded it yesterday.
I honestly don't know where to download those things I'm such a newbie at this stuff. If you could put links to the downloads that would be awesome. Is it safe to just post the crash report here?

Yes, it's fine to post the crash report here, just make sure you put it in between spoiler codes, like so :

I'd delete that folder just in case, and run minecraft again after that. If it still crashes, take out your mods folder completely. At this point you can do one of two things: either launch the game without the mods folder (which will cause the game to create a new, empty mods folder), or you can, in the .minecraft folder, Right Click -> New Folder, and rename that "mods". Drag the MCA mod file into the new folder and launch the game again.
The error log you posted earlier is picking up on two instances of MCA,which is why it's spitting back the error.

+1?
You may want to take out the extra copy of MCA from your mods folder. You only need one.
The error log you posted earlier is picking up on two instances of MCA,which is why it's spitting back the error.
