PLEASE, would you mind putting your crash reports in spoilers, like this:
You always get this 'Server tick loop' error after some minutes.
Hope they will fix this soon. :/
By "server tick loop" is that where the game, even in local, gets super laggy even though your FPS don't drop? If that's what you're referring to, I can second that it happens (unfortunately).
Um, yeah. You guys clearly didn't get the memo, they fixed OptiFine so you can just put it in the mods folder now. Good job figuring it out anyways.
Maybe you should send a copy of that memo to my Mac, cuz it crashes in less than 3 minutes with Optifine in the mods folder. Take it out and it will run all day...but only as well as Minecraft without Optifine can.
While I usually defer to anonymous snark, I think I'll just give the op a chance.
Heres How to Get Optifine working With Forge!
step 1:
Get your downloads: (be sure to get the 1.6.4 versions)
Forge: http://files.minecraftforge.net/
Optifine: http://optifine.net/downloads.php
step 2:
open minecraft and ake sure your using 1.6.4, you can check under edit profile and select use latest version or manually select 1.6.4
run the game at least once
exit game
Step 3:
double click on the forge .jar file and install it to the client
when thats finished run the game again using the forge profile you just created
exit game
step 4:
double click on the optifine .jar file and install it to the client
when thats finished run the game again using the optifine profile you just created
exit game
step 5:
navigate to your .minecraft folder then the versions folder then the 1.6.4-Forge9.11.0.881 folder
open the .json file with notepad ++ or any other Unix compatible text editor
step 6:
go to line 7 and add a new line after the ),
so it shuld look like this
7 },
8
9 {
copy this and paste it on line 8:
{
"serverreq": false,
"name": "optifine:OptiFine:1.6.4_HD_U_C4"
},
it should now look like this:
7 },
8 {
9 "serverreq": false,
10 "name": "optifine:OptiFine:1.6.4_HD_U_C4"
11 },
12 {
if you did everything correctly you should be done,
run the game again using the forge profile you used for step 3,
enjoy
And the line "serverreq": false, is not needed.
Now it works.
Thank you.
I think it is better to make a copy of Forge version instead of overwriting Forge version directly.
Using Forge #897
PLEASE, would you mind putting your crash reports in spoilers, like this:
just place optifine in the mods folder and your done
