do i follow the same steps to download forge for 1.6.2 on client???
Not really, forge has its installer now. Just run the game once with 1.6.2 version, then quit. Now download and run the latest 'installer' version of forge. Once that runs (takes like a second) Select 'new profile' and click the 'release-1.6.2forge9.10.0.xxx'(in versions drop menu) then give it a name up top and 'save profile' then just choose the name you gave in the drop down menu and run it. forge should be there.
Every time I join my FAVORITE server, I crash, I havent tried single player yet, but its kinda useless for me because Im a guy xD. I just wanted more feel in the game. Anyway, heres the crashe report, of which I have NO idea what it means :

jar mods with forge install= didn't see any thing about so... heres my shortened tut
example:forge+optifine
this is assuming youve alredy installed forge using the installer
jar mods for 1.6.+ refer to [Alternative install] for alternative method(quicker method)
i might mess up in summerising so that^^^ is there.
1: get the mod(s) that you want to install, put ALL of the contents of **(ALL)the mod(s) that would have otherwise gone into the jar
into one zip, change extension from (zip/7zip) to (jar)
**(they dont realy have to all be in one jar, just saves from repeating the later prossesses)refer to {one jar} for more details
2: Go to .minecraft/libraries/net and create the following folders: examplefile/examplefile/examplefile's version
you can name it whatever you want*(first two MUST be the same 2 my knowledge), just know that it should foullow this format:
*due to a bug in the launcher you may not use spaces while nameing ANYTHING durring this whole prosses "dammit cpw!!!"
Derpyjar/Derpyjar/v01/Derpyjar-vo1.jar when Derpyjar-vo1 is the name of your jar
(NOTE THAT THE [ - ] BETWEEN IS NESSASARY FOR IT TO WORK)
-youll need to remember(copy) the location of the file for the next part.
3: go to .minecraft/versions you should see a file named 1.6.2, copy&paste that file into the same place,
rename the file to whatever you want, youll have to rename the files inside to the same thing.
open the .json with a text editor(notepad) youll see some thing like this {"id": "1.6.2","time"...
change the 1.6.2 to whatever you named the files in versions, next
while still editing the json(the text file) find the text "libraries": [
immediatly after that(or after forge) paste this
4: (restarting your launcher is required @ this point if youve had it open)
set -Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true in the jvm arguments of the profile you are going to use
EX: -Xmx1gb -Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true
go into "use version" and select the one you changed the json(the text document) for.
and of course save the changes youve made.
asumming you were able to follow my shortend version it should work.
{after setting this up once you shouldent have to do this again, you can simply shove all your jar mods into the derpyjar-v01.jar
and they will be installed, however if you chose not to you gain an newfound ability to micro-manage your modding from the vanila client}
[pretty sure you can just direcly intall jar mods normaly into the jar inside versions/1.6.2,
please note that you will probaly still need to set -Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true to use forge with your jar mods,
however this seems to be cleaner&easier for adding&removal of jar mods, so i recomend it]
notes:
this is a workaround origonaly intended for optifine&forge to work together for 1.6.2 scence forge refuses to use jars that have been modded.
it works with and without forge&optifine, if this helped i'm glad to have been of asistance,
if not please refer to the origonal thread for a more in-depth walkthru
